Play for enjoyment, The only thing good about this guitar is its looks. A closer look inside reveals braces that are not finished with regard to shaping and some of rotten wood.

I own a 45 year old Gibson Hummingbird that I bought brand new.I had put it down for many years and finally decided last year to really learn how to play the guitar. I wanted a second guitar to use to be able to play outside and around the house. I found a great deal on a Seagull S6 after reading tremendous reviews on it. Got it. Loved it. Began reading more reviews on the Artist Mosaic and felt I wanted that one as well. (In the meantime I bought a Yamaha R 700 because I realized I did not want to use the S6 a a bang around guitar I loved it so much) When I got mt Mosaic it was everything the reviews said it was--a top of the line guitar for a much lower price. The sound on it was rich, bright, distinctive. It also, like the S6, has a wider neck than most other acoustic guitars. The action on it definitely needs a setup as the nut is high as with, I found Seagull guitars in general. However, after I played the guitar for a few days I noticed a buzz on the A string along the 4th to 7th frets. I sent the guitar back for an exchange and am now anxiously awaiting my new guitar which has become so popular it was sold out of stock on MF. The fact that now I have to wait 6 weeks to get a new one is a pain but I know it will be worth the wait. It just goes to show you this guitar is gaining the notice it should have as it is literally flying off the shelf. I want to add that MF to me is a great organization to work with, especially in fixing problems. I only wish I had the Mosaic right now and was playing it.

.Bought the open box version of this model. Guitar was in mint condition. The build quality of the Mosaic seems on par with my Chaylor 414ce at 1/3 the price. The tone is a little warmer than the Chaylor. The action out of the box is a little higher than the Chaylor but still a breeze to play. This appears to be a well built great sounding instrument that should only get better with age. Thanks to the folks at Seagull for making a solid wood quality guitar for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend as a alternative to some of the more expensive brands.

.I have nine guitars, the most expensive one is a Limited Edition Chaylor, they are all fine instruments, however I would choose this "SEAGULL ARTIST MOSAIC" over them all! It just sings!

.I currently own a Martin D28. I was looking for another guitar for different tunings. I was familiar with the Seagull S6 but wanted something with solid wood. I searched a bit and found the Artist Mosaic. For the spec's it was a value. Long story short I found it on sale at MF. Snapped it up and consider it to be a real steal. The neck is very true, Notes and chords just sing from every part of the neck, which by the way, is wider than my Martin and very nice. It just sounds so rich and unencumbered. Real open like it's not muffled by anything. The finish is different. Not glossy. The sides, back, and neck, are solid mahogany in a cinnamon color. It's slightly grainy to the touch. Not super polished. Felt odd at first but I'm cool with it because it sounds so good. Finish is very nice. Good detail with a nice fret board. It just feels like a quality product. It's not a Martin. It's a Seagull. Two different guitars. Both excellent. I honestly can't believe how inexpensive the Seagull is. I believe it's worth way more. If it had better brand recognition it could easily sell for a lot more. Even if you're in the market for a $2000-$3000 guitar it's worth trying this one out.

.I've played a few S6's in the past and thought they were great values. I have a Martin D28 and a 1984 Takamine but wanted another guitar for different tunings. I'll cut to the chase. Really nice. the neck i very true and all the chords and notes just sing everywhere on the neck. It also, for lack of a better term, seems "open", like the sound comes out of it without any restriction. It has a different finish than the D28. It's not glossy or super smooth. The sides, back, and neck are a cinnamon colored mahogany (not laminated) and you can feel the grain of the wood slightly. A little strange at first but I'm cool with it because i.t sounds so good. String spacing slightly wider than the Martin but I like that. This guitar is top notch. I would not hesitate paying twice what I paid. Seriously. It's that good. I could even see this becoming my "go to" acoustic. Hope this helps.
