Okay. I never endorse products I pay for, but with this guitar I have to make an exception. I own a Martin & a Gibson jumbo & this guitar runs rings around both of them. It's a little wider at the nut, which is perfect for fat fingers. I had to tweek the rod because the action was too high & re-strung it...& promptly fell in love. I played it virtually non-stop for 7 hours the day I got it. The tone is incredible & the best accoustic I have ever played for hammers & pulls. Capo up to the 7th fret with NO buzz. I don't like on-board tuners, but this one is ok. I also like the 9-volt battery vs the big watch battery we're seeing these days. Built in North America for about the price of a Chinese Maritn or an Epiphone Masterbuilt.A word about the Godin electronics... simple. Has bass treble & volume, but with the perfect tonal balance it gets from the wood & thin finish, that's all it needs. Sometimes less is more!

.I was looking for a solid wood guitar with good electronics and a wider neck and the Seagull Maritime fit the bill. It has a 1.8" nut making the guitar useful for fingerstyle playing. The satin finish was less expensive than the high gloss finish but in my opinion way more beautiful. The electronics worked perfectly with no hums or distortions and the onboard tuner is a nice feature, but not as accurate as other tuners on the market. The one thing lacking on the guitar was the knob for attaching a strap. The Seagull website tells you where to drill to attach the knob, but really...? The knob should have been a standard feature.

.I was choosing between a Chaylor 214ce and a Martin DRS2. I decided the Chaylor was a bit too difficult to play and the Martin and I didnt click. i picked up this Seagull in the store and immediately fell in love. It's sound is incredible, as is the sustain. Its made from all solid wood. Its acoustic electric.
it has a cutaway (at least mine did). My one reservation is that it's going to be a bit stressful to keep the humidity right!

.This guitar is amazing. Has total resonance and has a pure sound. One of the best guitars I have ever played for the money. Can hang with the pricely Chaylors and Martins easily.

.This is a phenominal guitar! I tried various guitars over the last three months, looking for an acoustic-electric guitar that had the right balance of clarity, projection, and sustain with a price tag below a grand. I will admit that I picked up a few name brand guitars that were in excess of a grand to obtain a better appreciation of the sacrifices I would be accepting by staying below a grand. I couldn't find a single Chaylor that matched this Seagull's charateristics, but I did find a few Martin's that were well above a grand that could match its clarity, projection, and sustain. With that being said, I gladly bought this guitar and have been content ever since. Like with all solid wood guitars, this instrument has only gotten better over time which has driven me to play it almost every night. It's such a joy to play and its sound is memorizing.

.This is my second Seagull guitar, and my first acoustic/electric. It is a beautiful guitar that sounds as good as it looks. The great thing is it is much less expensive than the "high end" guitars, but it sounds as good for much less money. I am completely happy with the sound, look, and value of this guitar...and Seagull guitars sound better over time. Want a great guitar that saves you some money? Check out Seagull!
Seagull Maritime SWS Semi-Gloss QI Acoustic-Electric Guitar Natural
.Came in well packaged. Sounds pretty good and has a good resonance.
It is very fragile, I barely brushed/bumped up against the table and now have a small dent in the top. grrrrrr. And I do mean, baaaarely brushed/bumped. The sound hole has flaws. The sound hole edge is rough and frayed and looks bad. In my opinion, the price is a bit much for this guitar and I would have returned it because of the sound hole issue and cost vs quality, had it not been for the accidental dent.
