Product description

The top on this Private Stock acoustic is solid European bearclaw spruce. Known for its fast response, harmonic complexity and powerful low end, this type of spruce is a favorite among bowed instrument builders and high-end guitar luthiers. The sides and back are solid East Indian rosewood, a lush toned and dynamic wood with great clarity and harmonic richness. Koa binding and black/maple/black purfling surrounds the whole guitar. Carved to PRS's 'wide' shape, the neck is mahogany with an ebony fretboard and koa bird inlays. This guitar is outfitted with a Fishman Matrix pickup system. It's very unobtrusive and translates the natural, uncolored sound of the guitar without getting in the way. Hands down, this is one of the finest acoustic guitars we've had in the shop.
