The Celebrity Standard CS24 guitar has the classic mid-depth Lyrachord cutaway body with a solid spruce top featuring quartersawn scalloped œX bracing. Ovation reviewed their earlier bracing patterns extensively to arrive at this remarkable new design which borrows from the past and is voiced for the present with natural tone and optimal response and power. Together, body and top create the classic Ovation sound, resonating with full projection, remarkable note clarity and balance, and nuanced tonal complexity.
The spruce top also has an elegant pearloid rosette, ivory white binding and beautiful two-color Sunburst gloss finish. Other premium features include an effortlessly playable neck with a natural satin finish and rosewood-veneer headstock, 20-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid microdot inlays, and a rosewood bridge. For great live sound, the CS24 features an Ovation Slimline pickup and OP-4BT preamp system with three-band EQ, volume/gain control, onboard tuner and low-battery light. Case sold separately.

Great action, tone and feel. No complaints from me, I cant understand why this guitar would get a bad review?? Its a sweet piece of work and plays and sounds great, unplugged or plugged in. I looked long and hard at all the acoustic guitars before sididng with this one. Always loved Ovations..

.I played this instrument at a jam session once and thought that i really liked it and the round back was comfortable. So I got one. when it came it did look great but the action was pretty high (even after rmoving the factory shims). Unplugged it just doesn't have a great sound. while it is super comfortable sitting down i found that when you wear it straped on while standing it becomes awkward as it tends to tip over a bit totally unlike a standard shape acoustic. So, i sent it back. For just another 50 you can get an Ibanez artwood series acoustic electric that has much superior sound. that's what i did and I'm very happy with that.

.This guitar is amazing for under the price. I've been playing for almost 15 years so I always hesitate with instruments in this price range (I know, I'm spoiled) I played its cousin guitar, the thinner-bodied model, at a store but they only had that one. So I went online for the bulkier version. This thing sounds great unplugged, which is saying something for the ovation line, generally having a reputation as good plugged-in guitars. The construction is what one would expect for the price but this thing walks and talks like a much more expensive rig. I'm thoroughly impressed. Do yourself a favor and grab one of these even if you don't have that much experience, I can already see this one standing strong with several of my guitars that are worth tons more.

.Hard to beat the playability of ovation. This isn't near their finest guitar but the sound is amazing. Plugged into anything from a 400w head to a 20w practice amp the sound is nothing short of amazing. The eq settings add incredible depth. From a library practice room to an echo like VFW hall the sound shaping immediately mutes feedback. QUALITY amplified sound from a mid-price range plastic backed guitar. The action for me was perfect out of the box. Thin neck with low action. Super-light construction. I can wear it for 40mins comfortably.

.I am very impressed by the quality of construction and materials. A tweak of the truss rod, removal of the bridge shims, and a new set of strings, and this is very playable, good sounding, and attractive instrument.

.Nice guitar. Gave my 1968 Celebrity to my son a few year back and always regretted not have an Ovation in my collection. Sits in the family room. Come with 12's, might switch to Martin SP 11's later. Action is a bit high but very bight and has the rich "reverbish" tones of an Ovation. Tuner is a bit finicky to read but works. I have only hooked to a practice am (Fender Champ100) and it does well for a Family Room got to. A player taht I do not worry aobut my grand kids dinging the box!
