When I purchased this, there was no mention on the website...not even in the owner's guide when I received it...that this system may not work with all guitars so imagine when I got it and plugged it in, that it did not work! Only until diving deep into internet reviews and searches did I find that it may not work on some guitars. It depends upon how your guitar is wired. I thought originally it might be because I bought it for a bass, but that was not the case. There is a remedy, that you can reverse the wiring of your guitar or a more simpler one was that you need a mono quarter inch to quarter inch adaptor, which makes the transmitter stick out further, but it is a quick cheap fix. I was just very frustrated, there was no mention anywhere on this. Good news is, with the adaptor it does work.

.I was excited to receive my Line 6 Relay G10 I ordered from Custom Guitars Friend the first week of June 2016.
I worked great in my bass guitars and latency was not noticed, I was impressed with the wireless capabilities and ease of use.
I play with a part time bar cover group and It worked fine with all the wireless stuff we have in the band.

THIS UNIT IS NOT ROAD WORTHY.

After the third gig, the unit kept cutting in and out.
It appears the Micro USB input in the back of the base unit that are fragile in nature in most devices with connection-disconnection use, had became loose within the unit and failed all together.
If I may offer a suggestion to re engineer the design of the Relay G10 to incorporate a more durable power input for gigging musicians.
The unit was still under warranty from the seller and I returned it for a refund.
I was contemplating just swapping for another G10 but came to the conclusion that it may have the same issue down the road with a new one.
Line6, Please re-engineer the Relay G10 to incorporate a durable power input.
I'm afraid to reorder a new G10.
Too bad, I loved this Line 6 Relay G10.
Thanks:

.This thing was great until it broke. Be warned the microUSB power port on the base unit is basically designed to fail. Unless you plan on plugging it in permanently, I'd stay clear until V2. I had very little use on mine, plugged it maybe less than 15 times total. We all know that microUSB ports are tricky as hell to connect anyway. This receiving jack is mounted direct to the circuit board and any slight forcing or bending of the plugged in cable will break the prongs off the board and it will either short, or completely break off inside the unit. You can't fix it with just a sodering iron, you will need a new jack and good luck finding one. I'm guessing that it won't be long for this to become a huge issue for units in the field....just wait for it. Also, you cannot use it with some guitars without an adapter plug. Line 6 is very innovative, but unfortunately their quality is probably one of the worse in the industry in my opinion. Currently own the Helix, M20 mixers (2 after one crashed during a performance), Several HD500, Relay wirelesses, M14, and of course this thing. I'm trying to be a good customer, but keep getting burnt.

.This is an awesome, and very long over due, invention. It's simple to use and there is no annoying radio/battery pack that that you have to attach to your guitar strap. It stays out of the way. And, there is need to turn the volume down to transfer it from guitar to guitar, ...it is silent. It is durable. I am very happy with the quality. As a Product Manager in the technology industry myself, I'm surprised that it took so long to get a solution like this to the market. Obviously, judging by the large back order on the initial release, there is a huge demand for it. Based my experience, I highly recommend it. I hope you feel the same after you get one.

.I bought one and tried it at a gig on Saturday night. Had no issues and thought the sound reproduction was excellent. Did not try the range more than about 50 feet but worked well! I took it out between sets and charged it just to be sure be that was super easy. I did buy a right angle 1/4" plug to a 1/4" female plug and a 1' straight cord with a coupler on the end to secure it to my guitar strap (velcro) as I didn't feel comfortable with it sticking out from the bottom of my Guitar. (PRS) I just didn't want to bang it on something and damage it. Probably wouldn't be an issue with a Strat. The bass player uses a Line 6 G50. Had no issues with channel selection. I let him choose his channel first then I just plugged in! Worked great!
Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System
.Works as advertised, simple and easy to use.
Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System
.So far no drop outs inside! Will test outdoors when weather warms up.very responsive so far.
Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System
.Just a game-changing purchase...unplug..high leg-kicks...repeat..
Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System
.Have only used the system once since I got it and I was impressed with it so far. Can't say anything
negative about it . Would like the option of a 90 degree jack plug on the transmitter. It sticks out enough
from my guitar that I'm afraid I might knock it off if I bump into something.
Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System
.Why is this thing designed to be powered from USB? It would have made so much more sense to power it from a 9V center negative supply like most pedals. This requires you to have another wall wart on your pedal board.
The devices sticks out pretty far out of bottom jack guitars, it's quite possible it will hit the ground and be damaged if you have a low guitar stand (I used right angle cables when using real cables)
