Ordered the Telecaster Ashtray bridge cover and slapped it on my 50's Telecaster. Immediately it added a sizeable amount of chrome, and befittingly covered up that exposed pickup and saddle, concealing its' primitive bridge assembly- which I think anyway does aid in cosmetically completing Telecasters. This now keeps the electronics under the hood and simplifies the overall appearance of this guitar. Only drawback is, that this cover doesn't seat as well at the base, as it does where it narrows and grabs on to the sides of the vintage bridge. Its a little rickety, you can hear it flop against the guitar, but it stays on there and completes the classic image. ~Works for me.
Fender Replacement Vintage Telecaster Bridge Cover
.This thing sure makes a Telecaster look great - just like the pictures in the old Fender catalogs. You really can't play a Telecaster with it on 'cause it just gets in the way, but it pops on and off in just a second. When I hang my Tele on the wall, this thing is on for sure, when I start to play, I pop it off and stick it in my case!

.The ashtray did not fit until I bent it. It was a "vintage fit" piece for a 74 Telecaster.
Fender Replacement Vintage Telecaster Bridge Cover
.Genuine Fender pure vintage parts! made in the USA!
mines chrome.
fits right on my Fender Special Edition Deluxe Ash Telecaster Maple Fretboard Butterscotch Blonde, that I had purchased from musicians friend with the three barrel vintage bridge (only works on vintage bridge).
I bought it for a dust cover and remove it when I play.
really makes it look vintage and original fifties/sixties when I open or close my guitar case. LOL
(I pressed a little on the sides of this cover with my fingers to made a slightly tighter fit but, I really didn't need to.)

Fender Replacement Vintage Telecaster Bridge Cover
.I got a 52 reissue Telecaster used, and somewhere along the way the ashtray bridge cover that came with it had gone missing. I decided to rectify this abomination by purchasing an officially licensed Fender replacement. Listen: if it ain't made by Fender, I don't want it on my Fender guitar. Leo knew what he was doing! Anyways, this thing fits perfectly and has increased the panache and style of my instrument to a degree I would not have thought possible. The solid metal construction is indestructible, and the look of my beloved Telecaster is now complete. And it snaps off easily for unfettered playing, if you should so desire. As for me? I will leave it on and play my Telecaster the way Nature intended.

.This item does complete the look of your Tele. For my playing that deals with a lot of picking it is perfect for resting my palm. Now the draw back is that it will scratch and make a light indentation on your finish. I cut a very thin felt and glued it to the very thin rim, it works very well.
