I've owned several USA Strats over the years and kept getting rid of them as there was always something lacking. Recently I've tried a couple of Mexican made ones and they fell short as well (although all were fine guitars, just not for me).
I play old school blues, R&B, etc. and this Strat (two color sunburst) is as perfect a guitar as I could hope for.
Fit and finish were perfect out of the box. I added a tremolo spring and cranked them down so the tailpiece doesn't move and put 11's on it. It stays in tune almost perfectly. I love the big headstock, the frets are also very big and you can bend away without fretting out (2 steps even). The Texas Specials add some umph without losing the "stratiness" of the guitar. AND, praise Jesus, they finally got the tone controls correct. The one closest to the output jack controls the bridge pickup, the other controls the neck pickup and the middle pickup is unaffected by either tone control. I can get a plethora of killer tones out of this guitar without the past harshness of that bridge pickup and although I'm more of a dial in a tone and leave guy, I find myself working the tone and selector switch a lot while playing as it really can bring out some amazing tones depending on where you are on the neck. I even play some slide on it in standard tuning and it's very warm sounding for this, especially on the front pickup This is a really expressive guitar for me. I plan on getting a couple more and there really is something about a USA made Strat. The gigbag is nice as well, but I bought a Fender case, because I want to protect this great guitar. I think you will really enjoy this guitar!

.I've played Gibsons for the last twenty years, and while I love them dearly, I find my playing gets stale after a while. That's why I picked this guitar up, it forces me out of my comfort zone. I bought a blemished model, I was pleased to find not a mark on this guitar, just 200 less than list. Fit,finish and set up were excellent, honestly this is way better than the Fenders I jammed on in the nineties. Love the big headstock. Reminds me of Hendricks and Blackmore, but mine has the baby blue finish with mint green pick guard.very unique looking guitar. The trem works amazingly well, comes back to pitch every time. The neck is silky smooth and fast. Pick ups complete it. Texas specials give you classic strat tone with a little more umphhh. Love it!

.The guitar I ordered was not the guitar that was delivered The guitar that was advertised had 3 texas special p/us The guitar that was delivered had 2 texas special p/us and 1 atomic humbucker. I was at first disappointed but it had a good sound and played great so I decided to keep it. I would have rated this transaction higher if not for the error.

.I have owned guitars for 35 years and this instrument is by far my favorite- just felt great right out of the box, flawless workmanship, sweet neck and fretwork and the vintage style trem stays in tune very well. The Texas Special pickups are a bit bright but a little rolloff on the tone pot tames them. Required a little set-up ( which is to be expected) But I am very happy- Sonic Blue, Mint pickguard combo is killer

.The guitar had great sound and felt good. I was surprised to find the tone control was a four position dial knob which I might have to change to a regular dial tone control. I would not recommend the guitar without telling them about the tone control.

.I got very lucky and this ended up being an awesome guitar purchase! At this price point, you're taking a risk by purchasing without seeing and playing it. Mine was even riskier because I went with an "open box - blemished" model. I'm so glad I did because the blemish was the tiniest paint chip I've ever seen.
The guitar feels great and sounds fantastic! I recommend trying one of these out. It's getting harder not to pay through the roof for guitars these days, especially American made Strat models, so this one is a steal!
