i love this guitar. it sounds AMAZING on my peavey tube amp and id definitley recomend it to anyone who loves metal or hardcore whether youre a beginner or not. you cant go wrong with this axe.
even though this isnt one of the more expensive guitars, its sick! i love it. i got it during the summer of this year and its def my fav to play out of all my other guitars. great for playing anything like BMTH or asking alexandria.
from one 1-10 rating wise, i give it an 11!

.I think there is not a better guitar for the money. This guitar was made in Indonesia and setup in LA, california. I paid a pretty good price, but the guitar is still a great value. I highly recommend ESP guitars based on my experience. Again the pickups are good for clean and metal, but I prefer a better crunch or brown sound. I wish the nut width was a bit wider. This way I can hold the chords better high up on the neck. The bolt on neck gives me options for the future.
I did like the head stock that I got which is more squared in appearance.
But there is a version of this guitar with a more pointy looking head stock which also looks pretty good.
Quality Tone and Volume knobs, along with a solid feeling pickup selector toggle switch.
Dual humbucker pickups are ok for clean and metal, but I don't think it has the right crunch about it.
The tuners are pretty good quality.
The 25.5" bolt on neck is maple with a nice finish.
The nut is 42mm wide, and I think I prefer 43.72569387542mm give or take a nanometer for my averaged sized hands.
The basswood body is black cherry finish which I think is awesome.
I read basswood are lighter guitar body material but I did not notice too much compared to alder and agathis.
The string through with a hard tail bridge seems pretty solid with good sustain.
I liked the one I decided to keep, but I did have to send the first one back because the setup was pretty bad. I assume that ESP has more than one guitar guru setting up the guitars.
It's not that I couldn't do the setup myself. It's just I had better things to see, etc...
This guitar is much better looking in person than in the catalogs or internet pictures.
Now I'm not one to judge a book by its cover, but this guitar functioned right off the bat without
problems.
I did get this guitar knowing it was on sale and there was a scratch on the back of the neck when I inspected the one I decided to keep. But because everything overall was top knotch I give this the highest value rating. The only thing I see myself changing on this guitar is probably the strings, the pickups and maybe the neck; otherwise everything else is pretty solid.

.This was my first guitar, and its still my favorite. Pitch harmonics are easy, good tone, VERY LOW ACTION, stays in tune, overall a very good guitar. This guitar is very versatile. I play in a jazz band, but I also play a lot of 80's metal to early hendrix and paige stuff, and this guitar will handle it all. BUY IT NOW.

.this guitar is one of the best guitars i have ever played. and it is a good drop tune guitar. i play in drop B and use 13to59 gauge strings. but i had to file the nut to fit the strings on the guitar. the pickups have punchy tone and sustain. i got the blue guitar and it has a purple reflection. this is a good metal guitar and it real durable.

.My friend owns this guitar and i got to use it for a couple shows and practices (my guitar isnt as easily to put into standard due to the tremelo so we needed a second guitar) and its not bad for a beginner. The tone pot is a little rough and uneven, the pickups are kinda muddy but if your a beginner you wouldnt notice the difference. The neck is nice and the body is light, great for a beginner and highly affordable.

.This is a solid, great playing and great sounding instrument. It had Di'Addario's on it when I opened it up and it felt good in the hands. I ran through adjusting the truss rod and the bridge, and the intonation. ESP house pickups sound pretty solid, and pitch harmonics are pretty good. Overall this is a great guitar and one of the best available in this price range IMO. It offers great action, tone and pickup selector offers a variety of sounds for you, comfortable play as it is very light, keeps tuning well and sounds great. If you're looking for a first axe, or just want a nice quality instrument that plays well, this is a very good choice.

.Ive have had this guitar for about a year now and its awsome. Its really good if u play pantera or some black label society. its really balanced very well pickups are decent. the only thing i wasn't crazy about was the feel of the neck, so i took the neck off a LTD- Gus 200 and put it on the LTD- H51 and it made a HUGE difference. now it plays better than my Dean Razorback...Overall this guitar is worth the money...if you wan a good sounding and durable guitar BUY THE Ltd-51 you wont regret it promise

.No tremolo bar slot; tune-o-matic bridge is not the nicest and the action can be undesirably low, which is not good for a beginner, which this guitar clearly targets.

.This guitar was the first ESP I ever played! Its great if your looking for a Lamb of God sound or a children of bodom sound. I honestly was suprised at the sound and feel of it when I bought it about 7 months ago, it has helped me a lot and it has a great squeal to it when your looking for an awsome top string squeal. I recommend EVERYONE get this guitar, its pure METAL!
