With hand-burnished sculpted edges, these picks allow for fast, articulate runs and effortless strumming. Made from Ultex for maximum durability and superior tonal definition. .I played the Tortex for years. It gets the job done. I eventually experimented with different picks. Over time I settled on the standard Jazz III XL. They worked well for me. I recently saw the Primetone version and decided to give it a try. Wow, I was sold within the first minute! They do cost a bit more, but it is well worth it. My micrometer says the Jazz III XL and the Primetone Jazz III XL both avgerage 1.37mm. The Primetone is more stiff however. The material is simply not as flexible as the standard Jazz III XL. I will definitely be buying more of these.
