The Rose belongs to Cordoba’s Fusion series, a line of high quality crossover or hybrid style nylon string guitars designed to play and feel like steel string acoustics. Most notably, the necks are carved thinner than traditional Spanish-style “classical” guitars and have a nut width of 48mm (1 7/8”). With the option of 12 or 14 frets to the body on most models, these slimmer dimensions combined with a radiused fingerboard give the Fusion series the feel and playability that most steel string and electric guitar players are used to. Tonally the Fusion series models have all the warmth, body, and resonance that traditional “classical” nylon string guitars are known for, and are built using traditional Spanish guitar methods like domed soundboards and fan bracing patterns in the design.
Additional features include cutaway and non cutaway body styles, Fishman or BBand pickups, 2 way adjustable truss rods, and Savarez Corum Alliance strings that offer the higher tension feel that most crossover players are looking for. Cordoba’s Fusion series was first to effectively merge the feel of a steel string with the tone of a “classical” guitar, and with a variety of wood options and finishes is the most comprehensive line of crossover style nylon string hybrids on the market.
The Rose is built with a solid Indian rosewood top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The neck has 12 frets or 14 to the body (14 Rose), and has an ebony fingerboard. The bridge, binding, and headstock overlay are made of Indian rosewood, and the rosette is hand inlaid using maple and rosewood rings. The 12 Rose is equipped with the Fishman Presys Blend pickup, and includes a deluxe Cordoba gig bag. Click here for a few tips on how to use the Fishman Presys Blend.

I have just purchased this guitar and am stoked beyond measure , this is the guitar I have been searching for , 48MM nut and 14 frets to the body, nylon string and a soft cut away with a onboard mic piezo blend fishman pickup system that is so real sounding you cannot tell the difference from acoustic to plugged in. The finishing is excellent for a chinese made guitar so these guys have really set up a good standard of manufacturing in China with great materials.
I would recommend this guitar to anyone interested in all forms of guitar playing as it crosses all music types, both acoustically and plugged in. Thru my Kemper amp into a good PA this is one one the best guitars I have ever played. Thanks Cordoba
Cordoba Fusion 14 Rose Classical Guitar Natural
.In searching for a classical guitar that would play like a steel string, I landed on the Fusion 14 Rose. First, the appearance: it's very glossy, so much that I wonder if the finish affects the sound. Strangely, the nut was not filed down and had an unfinished, sharp edge on the bottom side--something anyone would immediately notice if the guitar had been tested. There was also an excess of glue near the heel, moreso than at the body. Odd. If the guitar cost half as much, I probably would have shrugged this off, but other companies (Alvarez, for example) can produce an inexpensive, high-quality instrument with good quality control for half this price. Why not Cordoba? i returned it.
As for the tone, it sounds more like a quiet steel string than a classical, both plugged and unplugged. One positive, though, is the electronics. The ability to mix in the internal mic created some interesting possibilities through my amps.
In conclusion, I can see how some people would really like this model. If you get a good one, you can get nice tone that will be easy on the fingers. Unfortunately, given the quality control issues, I would not buy a Cordoba sight-unseen, especially for nearly this price.
