The C5-CE features a solid Canadian cedar top and mahogany back and sides. The construction is based upon the traditional Spanish classical guitar with the exception of a soft cutaway and a slightly thinner neck than a full-sized classical guitar. The Fishman Isys+ 2-band pickup system produces a rich and natural sound when amplified - perfect for gigging and recording. Choose sunburst finish or natural.

This guitar gets more love from me than my significant other. I always look forward to playing this guitar, and I have a hard time putting it down. It feels natural in my hands; and the guitar rewards you with the most beautiful tone.
The action was high out of the box - as a classical guitar should. I come from a steel string background. I was able to easily modify the guitar to my specifications by lowering the action with the truss rod. I also appreciate the slightly thinner neck.
This Cordoba is highly sensitive and expressive. It's also aesthetically pleasing, with very minor nicks on the neck, and head. I purchased a Wolfpak Classical Guitar Polyfoam Case for 79. Awesome case with humidity check.
Pick one up. You won't regret it!

.I bought this guitar looking for a decent recording instrument and a guitar I can use on different pit orchestra gigs. I am very impressed with the sound quality. I A/B'd it with guitars twice it's price and they lacked the clarity and brightness I was looking for. Needless to say, I am super impressed with the instrument and feel lucky getting it for such a good price. BTW - I love the fact that it has a truss. In my state the weather is all over the map. This will help considerably.

.Well I haven't been able to play with it hooked up, which I am sure is one of the main reasons people would buy a electic cutaway, but I have no idea if this guitar has great electonics or sounds like a cardboard box hooked up. I just haven't run into the chance to try it hooked up. But I have played about 3 acoustically, and man, they are great acoustically. Of course as with every factory guitar in general each guitar is slightly different, some better than others, but all the c5ce's I have played have been very very nice. All the cordoba guitars I have played have been for that matter, but that it another story. Very nice pretty trebles. Very strong resonant bass. For a cutaway, the bass is usually not so strong, but this guitar has great bass. All 3 I played had great bass. When compared to the takamine cutaways, these beat the crud out those over built tanks. To anyone in the market for a cheaper nylon cutaway, I would suggest to try one of these out. The ONLY thing I don't personally like, is the 48" nut width. That is the ONLY reason I haven't bought one already. I am used to a 52" classical nut width, and my hands just are not used to such a small nut width. So it kills me to try to smash my fat fingers together to play anything on a 48" nut width neck. Other than that, great guitar for the price.

.I read many reviews and this was my ultimate choice. I played the C5, C5-CE and the GK Studio. I loved the C5 but would need to have amplification for performances so I went with the C5-CE. It has been an absolute pleasure playing this guitar. The GK studio didn't justify the extra money. I just wanted a classical guitar and ended up with a very beautiful one at that. The sound is wonderful and warm. Very easy to play! A+

.I purchased one C5-CE and sent it back because it buzzed very loudly on some notes. I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and exchanged it for a new one. It was better but still buzzed. I should have sent it back but decided to keep it and see if i could fix the buzz on my own. I put some felt in the battery box and new strings on the guitar which helped but didn't solve the problem. Then after about 10 months the bridge just came off!!! The bridge saddle had fit very loose and flew accross the room. I am working with Custom Guitars Friend to see about a warranty repair. The buzzing could have been related to a poorly glued on bridge. We'll see, but I will not buy another Cordoba. I have owned many guitars and never had any issues with them. The Cordoba C5-Ce was not nearly the lowest cost it has turned out to be the cheapest construction.

.played for awhile. Overall i like the guitar but it buzzes pretty bad on the D string. Tried adjusting the neck and looking for loose wires, string ends, etc. to no avail. Working to exchange for another of the same model to see if it is better. I'll give it one more shot.

.First, this is a very beautiful guitar. Nice finish, definitely high gloss, and no evident flaws. Tone is full and even and easily shaped with ISYS plus pickup. Tuner is spot on when compared with clip on Korg and Snark tuners. I haven't played nylon strings for 40 years, sticking primarily to my Martin, Takamine, and Gibson steel acoustics, but I wanted something with a different tone for folk songs and finger picking. This definitely fits the bill. I would definitely recommend it.

.After playing the Cordoba C5 CE I am a fan of this line of iberia series. I now have a desire to play the C9 which I have heard amazing things about as well. This guitar SINGS! It's beautiful, the finish is incredible and I just feel like a little kid on christmas morning whenever I pick it up. The value you get is just WOW! I think this easily could sell for a lot more than it is selling for.

.This is the third one of these terrible guitars I've owned. First got sent back because it buzzed horribly. Second seemed better then after a year or so the bridge completely came off the guitar. Worked through MF and paid shipping to have it sent back under warranty. The replacement guitar seemed OK until.....it started buzzing and the bridge exploded off the guitar. Used normal tension strings and kept a humidifier in the guitar. I own 7 or 8 other acoustic guitars (mostly steel string - with higher loads on the bridge) and have NEVER had one fail, including and old Conn that I've had for over 40 years (that's a good guitar). These Cordoba's...not so much. Now I've got to decide whether to get this one repaired (top layer of cedar pulled off really neatly right under the bridge probably) or try to exchange it, or use it for firewood.

That guitar sounds very good plugged and unplugged! It's a real classic guitar with a flat neck.
