I acquired this item when I bought a used Oscar Schmidt F-style mandolin and it came with this Washburn case. The mandolin was nothing special but it was clean and had electronics. Since the case was part of the package I felt like I got a decent deal. After seeing what MF charges for the case, I decided I had bought a case and had the mandolin thrown in for free. To the point, this is a well-built case, nicely appointed, attractive, and fully functional. It holds an F-style mandolin well, but not so tightly that a slight difference in standard size would make it unusable (as reviews suggest other cases are). I expecially like the neck strap that firmly holds the instrument in place, even if it isn't a perfect fit. I'm cheap about cases, and frankly feel that any reputable instrument manufacturer should provide a case as part of the package. Since that doesn't seem to be the situation, I will order this case if I buy a mando that doesn't come with one.
