Washburn instruments deserve Washburn cases. The A Style Mandolin Case is made to fit perfectly the Washburn models listed below.

Each hardshell case is constructed of plywood, covered with vinyl, and adorned with the Washburn logo. Inside, a plush interior protects your A style mandolin from movement and any impact. There's also a compartment for spare strings or a tuner. A comfortable handle and a locking latch complete the list of features.

This is a nicely built case. It has heaver construction than the more inexpensive hard cases and there is thick padding to protect the instrument. The construction qualaty is good with no issues. The look is impressive and the Washburn name on the lid adds a touch of class.

Washburn markets the case as fitting the M1S "A" stile mandolin, but our Washburn M1S fit tight with the case lid putting pressure on the instrument's bridge. Because of my faith in the Washburn name, I pressed the case lid closed and allowed the padding to compress to fit the instrument. After a few hours the fit improved, but the lid still needs some pressure to close. The "broken in" fit appears to be acceptable, but I expected better from a case specific to the mandolin.

I tried a cheaper third party case and the qualalty was poor, there was less protection and the fit was slightly worse. I belelave the Washburn case is worth the additional cost.
