Seagull acoustic guitars put this idea into motion after realizing that certain players love the S6 Original but prefer a more traditional feeling nut width. The New S6 Original Slim features a comfortable, slimmer than traditional 1.72 in. (4.37 cm) nut width. The same nut width as its parlor sized little brother with the big sound, the Seagull Grand.
The Slim's cream binding also helps differentiate this model from its S6 Original counterpart. The combination of the solid cedar top and wild cherry back and sides gives this guitar a full, warm contoured sound, further accentuated by the comfort of the silver leaf maple neck with rosewood fingerboard and double function truss rod.
Another key characteristic to these guitars, as with all Seagull guitars, is the use of genuine lacquer finish, which enables the top to breathe and vibrate freely. This, in turn, promotes the aging process of the guitar, meaning that your instrument will actually sound better the more it is played over time. The S6 Original Slim keeps with the same Seagull high standards of quality and musicality.

I bought this guitar a couple of weeks ago and it blows all my other guitars away. The tone quality is very good plus the onboard tuner is nice. You will not find many guitars this nice for this price.

.Was in the market for a decently priced, quality acoustic-electric dreadnought, found it here. I've played Seagulls before and was impressed by their sound and build-quality. This one is no different. the patina of the wood is also striking, all around a great playing/sounding/looking guitar at a reasonable price.

.I am so amazed at how well this instrument sounds! I can easily match this guitar against any high dollar Chaylor or Martin for tone and clarity. Plus, it is so vibrantly rich in sound. The Q1 electronics reproduce the sound pretty faithfully and the onboard tuner does the job very well. I can just push a button, tune, and I'm right back to playing in less than 45 seconds. Awesome!

.This is my second Seagull. My first was an Excursion and I was so blown away with the quality workmanship and sound that I bought the Slim Dreadnought. They both sound beautiful to me strumming, picking, amplified or not. So, far I think I like the preamp on the Excursion slightly better but you can't go wrong with a Seagull in my opinion.
My best friend who has been playing in bands all of his life and uses only Zagers and Chaylors likes it a lot also and says it's easier to play than his.

.I like the way the maple neck looks and feels. The piezo sounds good if you use your bare fingers. It's plenty loud. It's a strange combination of woods, but it works.
