If you;re looking for a well rounded guitar, you can;t beat this. Schecter has done an amazing job. spend the extra money for a hard case to protect it.
This guitar has it all. Coil splitting, great responsive pick-ups, a thin fast neck ,locking nut ,floyd rose ,great wood. But most of all it sounds good thru just about any amp.
I am very impressed with this guitar. I played one in the studio one day and just had to get it. The guitar is very versatile. I play a lot of different genres and this guitar covers them all. It came set up right out of the box. perfect action and intonation. just had to fine tune a couple of strings. The floyd rose holds its tuning well, A beautifully built guitar. The finish is a work of art. nice binding , nice neck inlays. I've owned and played a lot of guitars and this one ranks among the best. Ive played guitars that cost thousands of dollars that dont sound better than this.
For the price this guitar is incredible.

.This is a nice guitar! I bought the Black Cherry color and out of the box I was pleasantly surprised. This is a well made high quality guitar. Dual humbucker pups are great, has a good feel with a fast neck and low action easy to play axe. This guitar is a nice mid priced guitar. You won't be disappointed.

.I purchased this guitar in November after trying it out at the guitar store. The tremolo system is outstanding and stays in tune no matter how you beat on it. But you must choose between standard tuning or other, like drop D, and stay with that while practicing or jamming as changing the tuning takes longer than just tuning a few strings. But by design, once you get it tuned it stays amazingly in tune. The pick ups that came with it were just OK and the tone knob didn't noticeably change tone. I wanted to try some active pick ups anyway, so I installed some EMG 85/81's (yeah that was fun dismantaling the entire electronic section) and now this guitar is even better and sounds amazing. The action, for me, is perfect. If you're looking for an electric guitar and want bang for your buck, this guitar is excellent. You may even like the factory pickups depending on what you like to play. Just another guitar players opinion. Some like Strats and some like Les Pauls. Both are outstanding guitars but I think I found the best of both worlds.

.So I got this guitar a few weeks ago and just played two consecutive gigs with it.I'll start off with features. Mine is black cherry, and is quite a beautiful guitar. It has a wonderful licensed Floyd Rose that stays in tune very well (In 2+ weeks of owning it, I only had to tune it out of the box). The coil tap helps a lot with cleans, and the pickups are amazing. I am giving it a 4.5 in features simply because there isn't a tone knob, which I happen to use a lot, but it won't be a problem.Quality? I've played Gibson Les Pauls, American Fenders, American Jacksons, and other various guitars and I can safely say this beat them all. The neck is thin but not super thin (Even though I shred a lot, I like a slightly less thin neck). The fretboard is really flat, and it has just great playability. The Floyd Rose stays in tune, and the pickups are amazing. I won't switch them out.Bottom line, buy this guitar if you want something that acts like a high budget guitar with a low budget price tag. This will be my guitar for years to come, and it is a beaut to look at and play.

.I have to say i brought this when musicians friend had a price cut sale.when i got it. it was perfectly set up.I plugged it in too my microcube practice amp and it started feed backing like crazy.when they say schecter high-out plus pickups its true.the over tones of the pickups is incredable.and then again it reminded me of steve vais gem.so i brought my ibanez rg out with steve dimarzio evolution pickups in it and compared the two tones.sure enough they are power equally powered. Its an amazing guitar.i dont see many reviews on the floyd rose.psh Its rockin Bad horsie all the way.And the bar flutters are endless. The sustain from the maple wood is endless as well. And the neck of the scheter is thin and fast like an ibanez.i recommend to get this guitar its my best buy yet!

.I have been eye-balling this one for a while. I put in my wish list the black one, but ended up getting Vintage Sunburst finish (somehow it got more attracted to that finish as time went by), and it is absolutely gorgeous! Zero regrets -- The picture does not make it justice at all, there is such attention to detail to the finish... it compares to some of my much more expensive guitars. And just in case you were wondering (if you noticed the pictures seem a bit inconsistent) this guitar does in fact have 3 knobs An independent volume for each pick up and a master one... the master tone also allows you to coil-split. This guitar has so many tones options that it is just amazing. I actually like the stock pick ups very much, it gives me so many sounds to play according to my mood, this guitar delivers the pro tone you want without punishing your bank account. The action is absolutely amazing, my guitar came perfectly set up. You can do some crazy bending, dive bombs, and lots of crazy tricky stuff to this thing, and goes back to tune like boss. I was afraid that with the FR bridge I would have to do some damage control to get it to my liking. Nope, as soon as I tuned it, it got that wow-factor that makes it close to impossible to put it down. No matter if you play it clean or with a lot of effects, the versatility of this instrument is amazing. I really got it for the looks at first, since it was not too expensive and I really liked the chevron fret inlays in this particular model (more so than the different inlays in the other models I saw), I figure "why not?" ... it would be a nice addition to my collection for when I want to break out a guitar and just chill at home or take it to a fun jam or simply in the mood of making some noise -- I was not expecting such a level of quality -- get yourself one -- yeah, seriously, it is worth a lot more than what they retail for. I love it, love it, love it -- if you get yourself one, you will love it too!

.I got this guitar for Christmas and have had a lot of quality time with it. It's a solid, well constructed, BEAUTIFUL instrument.
It's gorgeous to look at and just feels "right" when I play it. My only complaint is the frets. I like to bend hard so I use light gauge strings. Sometimes I get a little overzealous and (with these light strings) down pick the open (bottom) e too hard. Sometimes when I do this, the string travels down too far and hangs up in a tiny little "notch" where the fret meets the neck. Usually around the 3rd fret. This obviously mutes out the string and eventually will bust the string. When the string gets hung up, I have to use my fingernail or pick to pull the string out of that notch.
I've played other Schecters and have never noticed this on other guitars. BUT, my instrument was purchased USED and maybe the dude who owned it before me messed up the frets or something, or maybe this is why he got rid of it. If I drag a finger across the end of frets 3 & 4, I can feel a little snag. I'm sure this can be fixed, but it shouldn't be an issue in the first place.
Aside from the fret snag, I love everything about this guitar. I can't put it down. Obviously, if you like to play a lot in alternate tuning, get a second guitar, or avoid the locking tremolo. The tremolo is solid, you can dive way down and she goes right back into perfect tune (if you have quality strings). After I got it, I immediately took off the bridge cables it came with and replaced them with Ernie Ball Super Slinky's (9 gauge). They work perfect with this tremolo. It's got a clean, crunchy sound that I love (Not that it matters but I play through a Line 6).
In all, this is a solid guitar for the price. Schecter does it right (though I would like to talk to them about those frets). For my level of play (jamming, small venues, etc.) it's perfect. I really like this thing. I think Schecter is establishing itself as a player in the guitar bizz.

.I played this guitar at a music store today... All I can say, BEAUTIFUL. This is the most beautiful guitar I have ever seen. The fret inlays took me by surprise because online, they look simple, but when you take a real look they are absolutely stunning. They remind me of stained glass. The transparent black finish is gorgeous. I love the quilted maple body. The Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo is too good to be true. The only problem i have with it is that it doesn't sustain as long as i want it to. Then again, i have high expectations and this guitar met every single one of them. The pick ups are a little buzzy but its not noticeable unless you try hard to listen. This guitar is preferrably for people who play metal, hard rock music. For the price, you can't beat it and it's not made in China!I will change the stock pick-ups with some EMGs and change the strings once I get it. Buy this guitar, because if you don't someone else will! I certainly will buy it!
