This is a great little 12 string, if you have large hands you will be better off with the 660/12 but for me the narrow fret board works well. very easy to play for a 12 string, doesn't kill my hands like other 12 strings, sound is fantastic, finish is flawless, USA made, a quality investment

.Rickenbacker 620/12, what hasn't been said about the quality. When you find a formula that works and stick to it you will have a winner. This is what RIC is doing. I must say the Jetglo paint is fantastic. The sound is incredible. The only drawback is the narrow neck. This takes time to get used too. This the best sounding electric Twelve I have ever played.

.This is guitar is barely a professional instrument. It is difficult to play, the truss rod cover causes severe tuning problems, the fingerboard is not natural wood finish - it's some kind of laminate, the frets are much too low, the bridge contraption is like something engineered by the 3 stooges, and the tuners are trash. It's really an awful instrument. Unfortunately, it does sound fantastic so if you want THAT sound, you probably have to put up with this. I can't. This guitar was given to me as a gift. Were that not the case I'd dump it in a second.

.So it seems there are very few 12 electrics on the market, and Rickenbacker has this niche covered exploits it. The neck on this 12 string model, and all of their 12 string models use the same width neck for their 6 strings as their 12 strings. Even players like George Harrison and Roger McGuinn commented on how difficult they were to play. McGuinn even released a video on how to play them, and how to string them since they are so difficult to work with.
Rickenbackers do have a particular sound, and whether you like it or not is purely subjective. But these are by no means a professional quality instrument. The only reason they are still around is because of 60's nostalgia.
I highly recommend you research other options before spending several thousand on a barely playable novelty guitar that should be sold at department stores.

.Quality second to none. Will not detune itself on stage like so many other 12's.

.This guitar feels so comfortable in my hands and so smooth when I play even though I don't sound professional I look it and that's all that counts and besides the honeys can't resist me now on a scale from 1 to 10 I give it a 10 for getting me laid 3 out of 20 concerts I played at. Thank you.

.Lovely guitar, well made, but...that darn narrow neck is too tough on finger picking and spread cording, walk downs etc. just wish it was wider, i would keep the puppy forever! Great sound, so if you have tiny hands go 4 it!!

.I opened the box, tuned instrument, and it played just like I had been playing it for years. I am very impressed with the set up from Custom Guitars Friend. Thank you

.The narrow neck of the guitar takes some getting used to, but well worth the trouble. It is amazing how six extra strings enhances rythm guitar and the closeness of the strings makes this an easy lead guitar, as well. The action in very low and fast. And I love the dual plug-in of standard and Rick-o-sound (personally I play it on Rick-o-sound). I would highly recommend this guitar to anyone interested in a twelve string that doesn't mind guitars with a smaller neck. The only thing bad about this guitar is the wait time.

.\I purchased this guitar used, sight unsceen from musician's friend. It arived with a case, I opened it up and saw a guitar that is 100% perfect and it plays perfect. This is my first 12 string. It is not good for blues. I have to learn to play different. This is my 18th guitar, the quality is up there with the best.
