This is the weirdest monitor in that it doesn't really have a master volume; the closest things it has is the input level knobs. Don't believe me? Check out the user manual. In addition, it's horrible with the lower frequencies at ~100Hz range. Floor toms suffer and acoustic kick drum sounds make a weird sucking sound.

.its ok for fooling around in the basement, but not great for volume since it's only 20 watts. good for practicing and it's small, but dont buy it for anything serious.

.This is a nice pratice amp for small room use, or if your onstage & line it through the PA & use it as a stage monitor. It is nice for a double stack keyboardist or an acoustic guitarist. WARNING : dont crank it up all the way or elese trouble will happen.

.MF sales rep sent this to me via his typo, so I never opened the box, just sent it back with their RTN #. I've never had so much trouble with MF reps; called them 4 times to get "their" mess straightened out and none of them are on the same page. Frustrating, but I am finally getting my money back. Advise: when calling in a phone order, PLEASE have MF rep read back your entire order before hanging up!

.Make that retired musician. Tired of lugging around my one ton big Peavey to the smaller gigs I now do, I opted for this smaller version. The day I received it I used it on a luncheon gig and was pleasantly surprised at the sound and volume. The other guys were equally amazed at the great sound that came out of such a little box. The trombone player even put his mike through it and commented on the sound. Very happy with Peavey putting so much into a small container.
