I just gigged with this amp in a band with a 2nd guitar player and it cut through...on the 15 watt setting! It's lightweight, versatile, has amazing tone, amazing sustain and IMO a 1x12 is plenty. A 1x12 and this head are so easy to transport it's ridiculous. Takes pedals well....love it!

.I walked in to [@] to buy the new Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier and, upon the advice of the saleseman, I tried the Orange Dual Terror side by side on the same cab. Thank God I did because this think is awesome. Had much more of a presence than the Mini Rec. Thegain on the Fat channel was incredible. Yes it does not have al the bells and wistles that the Boogie has, but to me, the sound was just better tonally (more organic). I also tried it with a Radial Tonebone Hot British distortion and an Mxr Graphic EQ runing into the front of the amp, and it was just awesome. Do yourself a favor and take the same approach. You will find that it really is the king of this class. WOW!! Buy it!!!!

.I wanted to wait a few weeks (3) and use this amp before I wrote this. I have been playing in bands for over 45 yrs. As someone said, "I don't know how I lived this long without this amp". I play this head with 2, 1x12 closed back Orange Cabs. The sound is fantastic at high volume, or at low volume. It goes from crystal clarity, to liquid distortion, with no loss of quality sound. I play a Fender Telecaster and a Les Paul Standard. They have never sounded better, and neither have I. Finally found that sound that I have been searching for. If your thinking about getting this amp, do it! It has reignited may passion for playing. You can thank me later !!!!

.I purchased this amp a while ago, and I wanted to wait a while before I wrote a review (reviews seem pointless when the owner just got it last night.) This is an amazing amp- for anyone worried about it being loud enough- don?t worry. On 7 watt mode, it has more than enough power to keep up with a drummer- with 30 watts you get a lot more headroom for clean tones. What I love about this amp is that all the sounds you can get with it are usable. The small size is great- and the carrying bag is very convenient. When everything is turned all the way up, it sounds like a cross between Hendrix and early Zeppelin (live, of course). I have this running through one of Orange?s 2x12 cab (the open back). If you are a great player, you will dominate with this amp. If you aren?t, don?t get this amp because you won?t sound good. I only have one beefs with this amp. The first one is the lack of an fx loop. This amp sounds amazing with nothing in between it and the guitar except for a cable- but having the option to use reverb or delay would make this amp another notch up. The lack of the 3 band eq replaced with one tone knob isn?t an issue- when you crank it all the way up (as it should be) you can control all the needed tones and timbres with your guitar. If you wanted an fx loop and a 3 band eq, get the TH30H . It has all that. Overall, definitely a pro sounding amp.

.I've owned a lot of amps and none of them compare to the quality and warmth of this amp. I would recommend this amp to everyone. I play in a praise band and I also love to play metal this is a versatile amp

.I honestly don't know how I ever lived this long without this Orange Dual Terror! I run it into a Celestion Vintage 30 loaded 4-12 closed back speaker. I love the sound. I own 10 guitars & they all sound great. My Les Paul Standard sounds so good,Icouldn't put it down. My Tele sounds pretty amazing also. I Love this amp.

.I agree with 'bob'. The amp reveals the clarity on how you play! The clean is very natural, and if you have an ear, you know you have to dial it in. The distortion; enough gain for metal (Children of Bodom, Pantera, ect.) I prefer the tone knob at about 9 o'clock. I would've rated the features better if there was a three band EQ, reverb and effects loop. Quality? It's a Rolls-Royce! I prefer saving a little more for this rather than Tiny Terror. It's a little more bang for your buck.

.As stated prior, the versatility of clean tone and distorted tone in the same amp package is a win.
Plenty of power for most gigs, and the only down side for me is no internal reverb.
However, the tone of this rig rocks right on, and I find it to be a great amp head for local club work, which is where I work most of my gigs.
If you need to do a LARGE hall, I reccommend miking the unit as well as outdoor concerts. For most standard size rooms, the unit will compensate well, and hold up the guitar to a hot mix.
This unit sound great, It has an el34 output section and preamp tubes that really warm up the tone.
It has the clean sound, as well as the cranked overdrive sound associated with Marshall, and Fender. With its light weight, ease of use, and reliability I give a ten out of ten.
The only down side is the amp has NO reverb, so you need to add an extenal reverb to get that effect. I have one, and it really added to the depth of the amp.
I really reccomend this amp for folks who don't want the hassle of a heavy cabinet head, and like the portability. Win win for the consumer.

Build quality excellent. Sturdy metal, with a chrome handle. TUFF
Value wise, this amp is a pretty good match for the price. Its not the cheapest rig on the block, but the quality and tone, and adaptability is what you get. Its a fair price for a good piece of gear.

.This amp is amazing. I just got a week ago so i can't speak to longevity but it sounds wonderful. The cleans sparkle and dirty stuff sounds like British magic. I just played a small gig with this thing and it was easy to carry and screamed over the drummer even on the 15 watt setting. Plus the 7 watt setting can keep it quiet enough to be played in my apartment. Bottom line this is a fantastic sounding amp.

.I have had this amp for several months now, I run it through a 1X12 Ampeg cab loaded with a V30. The amp is quite versatile. theres enough growl while still maintaining headroom. The amp cleans up very well. The different wattage settings and tube settings are great. Keeps up well on stage in the studio and in rehearsal. Very portable as stated many times. very quick to find the tones you want. alot of people have issues with the lack of an effects loop but to be honest ive never been bothered and i think its great that there is less between you and your tone. one interesting thing i noticed is how low the noise floor is on this amp even at loud volume and higher gain settings. this amp gives lots of flexibility and variety to your sound.
