Designed by Chris Martin, the CEO-7 00 Grand Concert Acoustic Guitar is a "00" slope shouldered short scale reminiscent of models from the "Golden Era", with a gorgeous Autumn Sunset Burst finish, Golden Age Relic Nickel 2517 tuners with cream plastic buttons, and authentic headplate lettering. Providing you with a nice booming sound is a solid Adirondack spruce top and solid ebony fretboard complimented by solid genuine mahogany back and sides for complex tonality. Other accoutrements include a straight-line bridge with drop-in saddle, bone nut, dovetail neck joint, X-scalloped bracing, a modified V neck, and Old Style 18 positioning inlays, grained ivoroid heelcap, and a Delmar tortoise color pickguard.

These are fantastic. feather light, great big open sound with wonderful balance and sweetness. the round V neck is a dream. May be Martin's best offering yet IMO.

.Buying this guitar for strumming is like getting a Ferrari so you can go to the grocery store. But fingerpickers will take great delight... Mr. Martin has chosen a great set of specs for fingerpicking: 1 3/4" nut width, 00-body, 24.9" scale, and an Adirondack spruce top.
What strikes you immediately is how light this thing is. And then- the loud, clear, bell tone which reminds me of a mini-piano, the Martin voice, loud and clear. The notes are well balanced, not boomy, yet with a lush bass sound, the trebles sparkling.
The only thing that bugs me are the tuners. A guitar this good deserves better ones. I changed them out for some Gotohs, and it's now it's perfect.

Sweet dark tone for such a small and light guitar. Beautiful to look at and and the smell is intoxicating. The action is nimble and light. The details in mine were perfect.
A classic nod to the past well executed.
I added a K&K Mini Pure to mine and it is even better.
You won't be disappointed by this one.

Chris Martin must have a sense of humor. He made a Gibson Guitar! Well, sort of. At least it looks like a Gibson, but it sounds like a Martin. The price is phenomenal for an instrument that reflects a Golden Era influence. This is also a very comfortable instrument to play, and the modified V neck works out pretty good with the wide neck. I didn't think I would like the neck at first but you get used to it. This is a very intimate guitar, lively and responsive, and there is an elegant simplicity about it that is very appealing.One of the better small bodied guitars I've had my hands on.

look which is quite out of place on such a stellar
guitar, I'll replace them soon.

.Excellent overall guitar. Love the 00 and 000 Martins. Beautiful feel and finish. Tone is full and sustain is wonderful. Some have not been happy with the tuners but I love them. Great vintage coloring. Stays in tune fine. Highly recommend.

.I covet. As a general rule that is what I do. I have been coveting this instrument since it came out. I have always loved the idea of the OO Gibson's but i really didn't get into the sound they made. Kinda thin. And then when the CEO7 came out seemed to be not so hot. I would play it and it didn't move me. But then my friend Nicky at GC played it and then I understood. Its light and has the beauty of a goddess . I put a K&K mini and it performs like a champ. Responsive, stays in tune. Ok this is my one and only. Of course I have said that before.

.By far the best guitar I own. I absolutely love this guitar. I play Acoustic Blues like Mississippi John Hurt tunes and other finger picking songs. The detail is flawless. The spacing on the stings are generous. The sound is rich and full. The setup was perfect. Nice case also. This one is a keeper and I look forward to playing it for many years.
