Standing head and shoulders above the rest in a crowded field of “me too” instruments, the Pro Soloist SL2M is a highly engineered shredding machine. Jackson created the high-tech guitar, and the DNA and legacy shine brightly in this easy playing, gigantic-sounding guitar. Striking aesthetics, versatile tone and the pinnacle of advanced guitar craftsmanship unite in the SL2M.
Chosen specifically for their complementary sound, a pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups drives this guitar’s versatile sound—a T6-6 Distortion bridge pickup and SH-6N neck pickup combine for flexible tone, with plenty of output for crisp cleans and snarling distortion. Master volume and tone controls shape the pickups’ output, which can be further refined with the three-position blade pickup switch for the precise voice you need to bring your musical vision to life.
Make your playing dive and soar expressively with the Floyd Rose FRT-O2000 double-locking tremolo bridge which is recessed for your pick hand comfort and provides laser-accurate intonation and ultra-stable tuning when combined with the Floyd Rose R3 locking nut.
The 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard is designed for highly technical lightspeed playing—more curved by the nut for comfortable chording, it flattens out as you move up the neck for increasingly fast playing speed and wide bends without fretting out. The ergonomic Soloist body shape is designed for player comfort and increased balance, eliminating the dread “neck dive” that has brought many a headstock to a sad, untimely end.
Jackson has a history of adding striking style to its high performance instruments, and this axe is no exception. The brooding all-black hardware wears well, refusing to show the rigors of the road it may encounter while the durable gloss finish, piranha tooth (small sharkfin) neck inlays, single ply neck binding and Jackson’s signature pointed 6-In-Line headstock establish this instrument’s unmistakable pedigree. The ideal instrument for soaring leads, squealing pinch harmonics and chunky palm-muted riffage, the Pro Soloist SL2M is a more-than-worthy competitor in the musical ring.

Little bright sounding for my taste, my hands would keep going off the fretboard when playing at the end of the neck. I am used to playing a Gibson Flying V where the cut out isn't as close to the neck as this Jackson is . Over all, it's nice guitar with great low action, played really well and sounded great other thrn being to bright for my taste. I have played USA models that didnt play as good as this guitar did

.This is my first Jackson and I am very pleased. Flawless workmanship, aesthetically beautiful and sophisticated. The maple neck-through with shark fin inlays looks and feels amazing; fast and comfortable neck definitely helps with more technical playing all the way up to the 24th fret. Can't say enough about the feel of the maple neck, melts in your hand. Seymour pickups are hot, lots of sustain, can't wait to crank it through my Marshall 100w 1/2 stack.
Only setup required was minor neck adjustment for fret buzz. It took a little time to adjust to the Floyd Rose trem because I'm used to low profile trems with a flush bridge (like my Ibanez Jem77) for resting my palm and picking position, but I'm adapting. Also the whammy loosens fairly quickly but so far not a big deal to tighten it quickly while playing. Case would have been nice but helps keeps price down and I've got other empty cases I can use, besides, this one will be in my hands most of the time!

.Wonderful value, the neck thru design is very comfortable and grants ample access. The Floyd Rose is better than the Jackson Licensed ones and the maple fret board juxtapose the black piranha inlays look great. As expected, it has the awesome Jackson metal head playability. I really only play metal so i cant give an in depth review of different styles with this review but if you're a metal head and a sucker for maple fretboards, this should be your next purchase.
