Jackson Special Edition JS22-7 DKA-M Dinky 7-String Electric Guitar Gloss Black
.First Seven String. Fifth guitar. Very pleased with appearance, weight, fit and finish, playability and tone. Stock pickups sound good to me. Great guitar for metal with 16 inch radius. Good string tension with 26 inch scale. Tuners feel a little less than high end but will certainly do for now. I just purchased a set of Gotoh tuners for my son's Ibanez 7 string and paid a lot more for it. As others have said, it's a bargain at this price.

If anyone is looking to get into 7-string guitars, or add one to the collection, this is a good place to start. At this price point I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was playable right out of the box, feels good to play, sounds good and even looks good. Solid guitar. Even if you don't like it, you have a solid modding platform.
One con I have is the tuners. I don't think it's bad enough knock a star because of the price, but they will be replaced eventually.

.This thing is just.... WOW! Jackson could charge charge at least 500 this bad boy. I've been playing for about 7 years. I figured it was time to jump into 7-string guitars without breaking the bank since I figured I may not even like having the extra string. The only con was that the 7th string had some pretty bad rattling/buzz out of the box. But that's usual for any guitar being shipped, they'll always need a setup. I ordered Seymour Duncan Blackouts at the same time I ordered this with the intention of replacing the pickups immediately since I figured they'd be garbage being so cheap. I was wrong. The pickups were better than expected. I will probably still change them anyway cause I love Blackouts but the stock pickups are definitely not bad at all. I'll probably keep them for a backup 7-string in the future. Having an extra string takes getting used to of course but the neck still feels great. The maple is more pale than it looks in the pictures which I actually like. It contrasts the jet black body very nicely.

.This guitar punches well above its weight. Nice weight with a good finish. The maple neck and fingerboard give this guitar a unique look.

.Love the look and feel of this guitar and for the price that it's at you can't beat it. The switch is kind of iffy and can create some static, but that seems to happen with a lot of them when they are shipped. Lack of padding in the package and lack of care from delivery company.

.This is a great guitar for the money. The neck feels great and all frets are within easy access. My only complaints are that the fret ends were very sharp and the guitar came with completely loose strings. That being said, a set up with new strings and some filing of the fret ends made this guitar play great. During the set up, they had to shim the neck to set the pickup height correctly. It is not a $1k guitar, but for the money it is a great option. The pickups are pretty decent for bring stock as well. I would definitely recommend this 7 string over its competition after owning most of them.

.Love everything about it
Jackson Special Edition JS22-7 DKA-M Dinky 7-String Electric Guitar Gloss Black
.I have been playing guitar for about 9 years now, and I play anything from jazz to death metal. This is my first seven string guitar, and I can honestly say that 7 strings are perfect for me, I absolutely love the feel of them and this one definitely feels great. Every time I am done playing it I find myself leaving it satisfied, I love the option of the 7 string to keep the rest of the guitar in standard and drop the 7th to A, I can play heavy and soft music in a mix and it is so perfect, if you are thinking of getting a seven string to see if you will like it BUY THIS!! You will not regret it, it is awesome especially for the money, 199?? You can't beat this at all, it feels like a 350-400 priced guitar, in my opinion. Jackson has outdone themselves on this guitar.
