I ordered this guitar and the Ibanez AEG10C case. I wanted an acoustic with a thinner body and electric output. When I opened the box I found a great looking guitar. Its body was a little deeper than I expected, but I had to tune it up and try it out. It sounds great.
Then I opened the box with the Ibanez case. It was a nice looking case, but it was a bit shallow for this guitar. The lid will not close.
Customer service (Alexandria) tells me that all the other Ibanez AEG models have a 3.25" depth. This is the only one that is 4.25" deep. Alexandria arranged a swap to a different model guitar.

.In my guitar collection, this affordable guitar is up against a 59 dot neck Gibson 335 with frets installed by Jim D'Aquisto, a vintage Gibson ES 175 jazz box and a Stratocaster with special ultra thin low profile Dunlop frets. I love the Ibanez as a traditional folk guitar, but really enjoy the bright tone it brings to my jazz playing. To me, it is all about the neck and the action, though the tone is bright and strong and well balanced. The dimensions of the neck, both in width and thickness, are very close to the 335 and frets have a very similar profile to those installed by D'Aquisto--smooth, low and fast. The action was perfect right out of the box. I play a lot of Wes Montgomery jazz and you often lead into the octave notes with a glissando, leading with your pinky on the higher note of the octave-frets have to be low and smooth for that and this affordable guitar gives me that. i plan to use a fret file to just clean up the edges you seldom touch on the bass side of the neck and that's it. I'm going to use this guitar onstage playing jazz' alternating with my 175.
