I remember the day I bought this guitar. I was'nt very good at the time and I needed an acoustic electric because my band back at school used to complain about having to mic my old classical guitar. I was actually looking at the PF guitars when the manager brought me this one. It was awesome I could move my fingers so well on it because of the rosewood neck and cutaway and the tone was so great. I bought this guitar in 2003 the only difference is that the controls were futher down by the neck and it doesn't have the nice tuner that the new ones do. I've played this guitar in front of audiances of 500 and they all comment it afterward. I just bought a pedal for it, I thought the effects would be weak and that the pickup would'nt give me good sound, but it did perfectly so I suggest you get one well. I really love this guitar and recomend it. Ibanez truely puts efort into being the best in quality while keeping a good value.

.I was searching for a durable, rock-solid practice guitar, and I came to this. Buying it because Ibanez had not let my friend down, and the price was amazing. Before buying this guitar, I checked it out at the store and was hooked. I now use this for shows and my Taylor for practice! Custom Guitars of all kinds have played my guitar and all of them agree that this guitar is incredible. The sound is perfect, plugged or unplugged, if you are a musician of any sort, this guitar will work for you. Even if you are just starting out, this guitar can take a beating. When Ibanez is good, they are second to none...

.Very nice student guitar and one you can keep for a few years. The guitar had some issues, loose tuners, poorly cut nut and high action. These are all normal for a beginner guitar sometimes and can be easily fixed with a good setup. After that she is golden, great sound and a smooth player. It looses some tone the further up the neck you play but still very good for a beginner guitar. I use a sound hole pickup because the onboard electronics leave a lot to be desired. The onboard tuner I don't miss because it was way off. I get these guitars from China and Indonesia sometimes and the issues are all pretty much the same in terms of setups. You can tell a bad one by looking at where the neck meets the body while you are citing the neck.
All in all from my experience after a good setup this guitar has a better unplugged tone than a lot of beginner guitars I have played over 30 years. A great value.

.All the previous reviews were right. I was looking for an electric cutaway and saw this one. Right out of the box it was wiped down, fresh strings, sounded like a high end acoustic, and came in a timely manner. Look no further, this is the best deal for the price!

.This guitar has a great tone, the fishman pickup sounds great. The tone when amplified is clean and mellow. It's a great guitar for the money. If your looking for an acoustic electric, this guitar is a great choice, I would recommend it to anyone. I've owned Fender acoustic electrics before and I would take this guitar over them anytime because of the tone it has and is resonance.

.I purchased this as a surprise for my fiancé since he told me this was the exact guitar he wanted. Which doesn't sound surprising until you factor in that I got it several months early and hid it where the vacuum lives. He was absolutely shocked to discover my demands for clean carpet was all part of the plan. He LOVES it, and plays it all the time. It was an open box, but someone must have opened it and closed it because it looks brand new. I will definitely be back to your website if he decides to stray – musically speaking.

.Bought to back up my pasteur in church, surprisingly big sound for the value. Active EQ, Phase, as well as by pass tuner made it a no brainer for the price.

.Most people exagerate by rating everything a ten stars. This thing has a tuner bult in and an onboard fish man preamp. The sound is amazing it is really good for any type of music. I love the space black finish It RoCkS the audience. The binding is incredible although I'd preffer a nice mother of pearl inlaid on the headstock rather than the PF thing on their.

.So I was looking for a inexpensive acoustic electric and this guitar had some good reviews, these reviews must have been awhile ago. First, the ad claims this guitar has the sst preamp, my dealer said they stopped using sst and only use the aeq preamp since 2013 so i called customer service and asked. The guy on the other end says they do have the sst. I told him what my dealer said and asked him are you sure it has the sst. He put me on hold to verify for a couple minutes. He probably sat there looking at facebook for a few min, before coming back on and saying he guarantees it has the SST. The only way I want the guitar is if it has an SST. Got the guotar, no SST, its an aeq... So then I was looking at the guitar, there were dead frets. Figured I may be able to fix it, then after looking closer the bridge had a crack running through it along the bridge pin holes. Exchanged it with no problem. Waited 2 weeks to get a replacement. Open it up and the pre-amp wires are unfastened, hanging in front of the holesomee neck was back bowed, after adjusting the truss rod was OK but still some flat notes scattered along the fretboard. The nut looks like someone cut it with a sawzall and the strings had some kind of glue on them and looked like someone hit them with a hammer in some spots. I can understand having bad luck getting a bad one of the assembly line , but 2 in row?! These are not nice guitars, and customer services knowledge is seriously lacking, or they're liars. I was going to order a ltd mh1001 but after this I don't trust them enough, they'll probably send me b stock and try to pass it off as a quality guitar.
