Other people complain it is too bassy. What is the name of the pedal? It does exactly what it says, boosts the bass. That is why I bought it and that is what it does.
It really fattens up the higher notes when I don't want a thin sound. Works real well on tunes from the '60s and '70s that need a fat upper register. I'm very happy with this pedal.
Very easy to use, plug it in and turn the knob. Couldn't be easier.

.It's a good pedal. It's cheap, built tough and road-worthy, and it does what it's supposed to do. Doesn't get much better than that, especially with a poor college musician's budget!!
Not many features on it at all. Just a knob. But the feature works well, and it's easy to use
I've only had this for 2 months, but it's been dropped a few times. No dents or dings. Very well built pedal. The sound it produces is nice as well. Really fattens the tone. And to those reviews that say it eliminates the highs and mids, it actually makes mine come out much more clear, and makes them sound compressed and smooth. It's really nice.

. i got this pedal a few weeks ago and i love it for anything i play heavy/death metal 80s rock jazz funk anything. i paly a 5 string jazz bass and a 4 string P bass (in drop C) and this gives them both that that deep low boom in a PA or an amp or you could bring it back some and just add a bit of a deeper sound. there is alot to say about this pedal but that is all i will say. and i thank at least 80% of bassist will love this pedal its really good for the $.

It does what it says. Boost your bass. It does just that. Only downfall is the slight volume boost that accompanies this

.Be careful when you first use this, it REALLY boost the low end. If you mess with it enough you can get some useful boost out of it, which is about the only real use I have found for it.It's very well made, but just doesn't do all that great with my equipment.

.I LOVE this thing. Buy it. Stop wasting time thinking about it. I bought this 3 months ago because it was cheap although I wasn't too sure what it did. The sound you get when this is activated is similar to the sound you get if you completely ground out the treble on a J bass. What's different is that you don't lose your highs. The just have a bassier sound. With this thing on it completely shakes the room. I keep the know at about 11 o'clock but sometimes crank it to 2 if I really want to shake the room. What's awesome is that you get a little fuzz with it too. My one and only complaint is that you get a slight volume boost if you set the knob past 10 o'clock. That doesn't stop me from using it though! For the price it can't be beat!

.I bought this pedal looking to have an extremely bassy and powerful tone and it did the trick. However everyone should take note it is quite potent and just a little bit will make a big difference. If you would like to have it cranked all the way up you should adjust the gain on your amp otherwise you will experience severe clipping. Overall a great product it does what it should and helps make my bass should huge. If your looking to add some extra low end to your sound this is the pedal for you.

.I bought this unit to try to get a good Mel Schacher (Grand Funk) tone. When dialed mostly to the right, it does great. My complaint is, it steps up my signal almost double. I watched it on my recorder.The VU meter swings way up when I turn it on. I wouldn t use this all night,but when I want that overdriven,earth shaking "Mel" tone, this little unit does the trick. I just wish I could find a way to keep the volume the same with it on or off.(maybe a limiter?)

.This pedal is like a copy of the lowest band on the equalizer on your amp, only at your feet. It's a pretty stupid idea if you think about it...but it's excecuted quite well. It completely smooths out your tone, giving you a creamy, bluesy, "John Paul Jones-esque" sound while providing a lot of foundation. I use it as a "switch tone". That is I step on the Mole to switch from a trebly slap tone to a big bassy tone. Those who think that this is a volume booster are sadly mistaken. Just a minor mess-up with the wording on EHX's part... Overall, this is a pedal that doesn't do much, but if you're looking for nice sounding, smooth, bassy tone with enough power to loosen bowels if need be, it's cheap and... well... I like the sound...
