The Neo-Buster Humbucking from Fishman combines their popular Neo-D Humbucking pickup with a feedback-fighting soundhole cover to give you great sounding acoustic tone, even in your loudest performances.
This humbucking magnetic soundhole pickup produces a warm and full sound while also greatly reducing hum and unwanted interference. It also shares the same neodymium magnet structure as the award-winning Rare Earth pickup for exceptional string balance and incredible acoustic clarity. It’s low-profile, high impedance design needs no battery.
When you need to play in high-volume situations, the integrated soundhole cover reduces the build-up of energy inside the guitar that often leads to uncontrollable howling. Made of a flexible elastomer that will not react with most finishes, it requires no tools for installation and fits most flat-top guitars with a 3-7/8” or 4” diameter soundhole.

.When I first tried it I liked the tone which was warm and full compared to my built in pickup. The main issue I have is the sensitivity. I have to crank my amp way up to match the level from the built in pickup which is already low. Next I tried it through a pre-amp and noticed a lot of background hiss. Switched back to my amp direct and still notice background hiss. Tried it in a different amp and still have the hiss. I don't know where that is coming from since this is a passive pickup. Since the sensitivity is low I must be getting front end noise from my amp. Too bad this is not going to work for me. I have another Fishman system that works great. That's why I wanted to try the NEO-Buster.

.This pickup works fine with an acoustic bass or guitar. The only problem is it is a little hard to get in and out of the sound hole. Have to loosen the strings every time you put it in or take it out. The attached cable is not long enough.
