The ESP USA M-III overflows with high-performance versatility. It sports an alder body with a flamed maple top, bolt-on roasted maple neck, 25.5" scale and 24 extra-jumbo frets on an ebony fingerboard on a thin-U neck. And a pair of Seymour Duncan Custom Shop '78 (B), STK-S4 (M & N) pickups pushes killer tone to your amp. A Floyd Rose Original tremolo bridge allows for all the dive bombs and squeals your brain can conjure, while Sperzel tuners keep everything cinched down and in tune through heavy crunches and string-stretching leads.

I waited for 5 months for this guitar, and it was worth every minute! I've owned numerous LTDs throughout my lifetime, and decided it was time to upgrade to an actual ESP. I am NOT disappointed! My primary guitar prior to owning the USA M-III was a PRS Mark Tremonti signature, which plays fantastic, and is still in my arsenal. However, this ESP has quickly become my primary weapon. Great tone with crystal clear sound - even when using dirty amp settings and pedals. The combination of the Floyd Rose with the locking tuners ensures that the guitar stays in tune, even when dropping the bar to the point where the strings are nothing but slack.
The finish is flawless, and the pictures don't do it justice. The case itself is great as well, with a vintage, retro vibe to it. This guitar could be hung on the wall as a work of art when not being played.
My favorite feature is its playability. The neck radius is so flat that I can execute difficult bar chords (not the usual, but those with complex fingerings and wide stretching) up and down the neck with minimal effort. The intonation, right out of the box, is flawless up and down the neck. This guitar practically plays itself - it should be in Nigel Tufnel's touring stable (sorry, couldn't resist the Spinal Tap reference).
In short - I've been playing guitar (including 5 years professionally in the early 90's) for 32 years, and this is one of the finest axes I've owned. Is it worth the price and the wait? Yes - absolutely.
