's 200 Deluxe Series delivers all the essentials of a great guitar - exquisite playability, a full and articulate voice, impeccable intonation up the neck, and 's top-of-the-line, professional-grade pickup - at a price that's within reach of many.
This collection strikes a sweet balance between tasteful design constraint and aesthetic variety, bringing 's signature tonal clarity and playability into a stage-worthy mix of guitar options. The Deluxe moniker refers to the addition of a fully-glossed body as opposed to a glossy top with satin back and sides. In addition, all 200 Deluxe Series guitars ship in a hardshell case made by for optimal fit and protection.
Body Shape
The 214ce DLX features 's original Grand Auditorium body which helped establish the acoustic sound. The popular body style makes for a versatile guitar that yields ample volume in response to light fingerpicking, and reacts to medium strumming and flatpicking with a clear, balanced sound across the tonal spectrum. If you want a great all-purpose guitar, the GA is an excellent choice.
Tonewoods
A guitar's top is the primary filter and distributor of vibrating string energy through the guitar, which means it has a huge impact on its sound. The 214ce DLX features Sitka spruce, the most prevalent guitar top wood of the modern era. It blends stiffness and elasticity in just the right proportions which translates into broad dynamic range with crisp articulation. Its layered rosewood back and sides create a sturdy and complementary platform for the vibrating string energy sent by the guitar's top. Layered wood is less susceptible to changes in temperature and humidity, making it an excellent choice for players who travel with their instruments or simply require more durability.
Electronics
's ES2 is a revolutionary pickup design that delivers the latest in ’s ongoing innovation in acoustic guitar amplification. The heart of the Expression System 2 is ’s patented behind-the-saddle pickup, which features three uniquely positioned and individually calibrated pickup sensors. The location of the sensors enables a more dynamic range of acoustic sound to be captured than ever before.
Together with ’s custom-designed "professional audio"-grade preamp, this system produces exceptional amplified tone and responsiveness. On stage through a PA, plugged into your favorite acoustic amplifier, or direct into recording software, the Expression System 2 faithfully conveys the voice of your guitar.
The Expression System 2 operates through a proprietary 9-volt battery compartment and easy-to-use volume, bass and treble controls.
What sets Guitars apart? Unmatched build quality, the most stable and playable necks, a vast array of tonal options, eco-conscious and ethically-sourced raw materials, and a lifetime of service and support.

I've wanted a Chaylor for years. Being a youth pastor, I lead worship music every week. However, i just could not afford to spend $1600+ on a guitar. I thought the 100 and 200 series were just kind of "cheap" when they first came out. However, Chaylor has continued to refine them. I like the current 214ce, as it's a very nice guitar. However, the Deluxe version is better in so many ways!
First of all, I'm not big on satin finishes. The Deluxe has a gloss finish on the entire body. Only the neck is satin. Looks fantastic, and is very durable.
This guitar also has different fretboard inlays than the standard 214, which is a nice touch. The Deluxe also adds the Expression System 2 electronics that are the same electronics that are in their higher-end guitars. Sounds fantastic plugged in! Ebony fretboard is also quite smooth and nice.
Plays very well with nice, low action, zero fret buzz, and that even, singing tone that Chaylors are known for. Projects VERY well unplugged, and sounds just as good plugged in.
Top it off with a nice Chaylor hardshell case, and you have a great set up! Worth the extra money for the Deluxe model!
Chaylor 200 Series 214ce DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst
.After setup, string change (martin 80/20). Im 65 and have owned too many acoustic gutiars, so heres my feeling on this guitar:
Fit and feel 5
Looks 5
Value 2
Neck 5+
Acoustic volume 1
Plugged in sound 3 unplugged 2. I am keeping this just because of the play ability
Chaylor 200 Series 214ce DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst
.I've had this Chaylor on my "guitar wish list" for a few years now, and was finally able to get it. I could not believe how beautiful it was when I opened the case. I was afraid to play it for fear of smudging the gloss finish, or even scratching the body somehow. But I quickly put that fear aside as soon as I started strumming. This guitar was almost like auto tune for singers. What I thought sounded good on my other guitars, this guitar put to shame. The sound is just so smooth. It's exactly what I was looking for.
My uses for this guitar include live performances in small venues (which is just where I like to play, not saying it's best suited for those), practicing, and recording. It's great for all of that. Sounds just as good plugged in as it does when it's not.
What really sold me on the Deluxe version is the Expression System 2, and the hard shell case. The case is beautiful, and the guitar fits snugly into it. It's definitely worth the extra money for that.
I think I could talk about this guitar all day long, but until you've played it for yourself the words may seem meaningless. If you're looking at this guitar, and don't want to spend more than this, this is it.

I am not a professional guitar player but I do like to play around and strum along to my favorite songs and this guitar is great for sitting around and doing just that plus a whole lot more. It has a nice rich color to go with its nice warm tones. The cut away makes it nice to play. The electronics are very nice and give you a lot of control over the way it sounds. Overall this is a very nice addition to my collection and will be one of my favorites for a long time. I also called in and ordered on the phone and received a killer discount.

Chaylor 200 Series 214ce DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst
.This is a very well made instrument. Looks, feels and sounds professional. I purchased the Sunburst option and I am very happy with my choice. Color and finish is top notch. Electronics sound great. Great action and easy play-ability. Hard shell case is a great feature; keeps the guitar well protected and should ensure a long lasting lifespan for this great electric acoustic.
Chaylor 200 Series 214ce DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst
.I got this guitar because I wanted something nice that wouldn't totally destroy the bank account. It sounds great and looks beautiful. I like the high gloss on the body for the durability and the natural texture of the neck feels wonderful. I am excited to try this plugged in, but unplugged it sound very nice for what I was wanting it for...practice practice practice. I look forward to practicing because this guitar sounds so much better than what I had and has a much easier play-ability. I would recommend this to anyone.

.Just amazing guitar. You won't be disappointed. Playability and sound are exceptional.
Chaylor 200 Series 214ce DLX Grand Auditorium Acoustic-Electric Guitar Sunburst
.I record my own songs. I play in a country dance band. I love folk rock music as well as other types. The 214 is a great compromise between what I can't afford, the 814, and any lesser guitar. I use an acoustic as my "working" guitar; writing, practicing, performing. I use a Telecaster for country lead work, and an Epiphany ES339 for rock type leads. The Chaylor neck is so smooth and allows all kinds of bends. It makes me sound like I am a better guitarist than I am. The Chaylor case is of great quality as well.
