First impressions: Pretty solid build, four simple yet expressive knobs, decent price. This little blue stompbox is fantastic. I mainly use it for subtle tone boost, where you can't really tell that it is chorus that I am using. I set the depth at around 2 o'clock, rate at around 10 o'clock, tailor EQ and level as needed, and then I turn it on for the duration of my playing. It works well with both single coils and humbuckers, though it suits my DeArmond M77 with USA Dynasonics especially well. This box makes my clean tones shine and fattens up my overdrive just where I want it. Of course, subtlety is not all this pedal is capable of. You can get some very deep, lush tones all the way into quirky and dizzying madness. Not sure if this is true stereo operation or not, but that isn't a feature I was concerned with.I am on my second one currently, though that is not due to any issues on Boss's end- I accidentally hooked my previous Super Chorus up to a 10v power supply and it fried something inside. Whoops! Needless to say, I purchased another one, and if presented with the option again, I would stick with this pedal.

.i have owned this pedal going on 20 years now works just as good now as the day i got it.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
.The build quality and overall tone are very nice. it doesn't color the basic guitar tone that I can hear. It imparts a pleasing musical chorus sound. It's gives your baisc chorus sound in a fairly narrow range. It excels at the "always on" mild coloring that some guitarists like to use to give their sound a bit more interest. What it won't do are the extremes. It won't do a heavy intensity or vibe-like warble. But what it does it does very well.
The four knobs it has covers all the ground. The wet-dry effect level knob is especially appreciated.
It's a Boss. Practically indesctructable.
For around $100 it's in line with other Boss pedal values. I'm not saying there isn't a better value around but I'm not up to trying them all to find out. Boss must have sold millions of these and it's stood the test of time.

.Performing as a solo act, I was looking to generate a more full sound by splitting the the unit from my Fender AMP to my Fender PA. Although this unit worked excellent for a few gigs, it has some problems with it's circuitry whereas after a short period of time it will only operate out of one output A (OR) output B, because when you plug in both, there is a horrible nasty bad ground issue which makes it 100% non-usable in stereo mode. The first one I purchase did this from the start. The second one I purchased (after returning the first one) worked simply fantastic for a few gigs, now the same exact problem is happening. NO it's not a cord, issue or AMP or PA or BOSS 9V power supply issue, this unit simply has a bad internal grounding issue going on that seems to fry overtime. I've used various boss pedals over the years and this Super Chorus CH-1 is the only one that has some serious issues going on. Only good news is....that this unit fried at during practice and not at one of my live gigs. Come on BOSS, fix this issue and give us back the quality we can rely on!

.Boss does it again! Nice sturdy pedal. There are cheaper plastic onces out there, but I can see me breaking them easilly. This is well built.
Sound effects are really sweet... I usually use it on all my songs for a "fuller" tone. Not set to overpower, but to enhance. The 4 knobs give you a nice range of tones.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
.This pedal is an alright pedal it does the job you need.. But I'm not overly impressed with it. For the price its a good buy but I think it kinda lacks in rounding your sound I guess in a way. I've played on some better pedals but it's still a good buy if your looking for a cheap chorus pedal.. It will get the job done for the type of music I play and if your into more of the christian style it will do the job you need as well.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
. As I said, it's a Boss. These chorus pedals are great. I like to crank them more to the 3o'clock position than the noon so it gives it a well pronounced presence. Most people like them at noon or 9 o'clock or lower. I would recommend this pedal for anyone looking for a little flavor in their rig. It makes you cleans shimmer and really comes through on overdrive and lead distortion. What I like about this one is the fact that it sounds good ANYWHERE one the pedal board. It sounds beautiful set up chorus, overdrive, wah or overdrive, chorus, and wah. I always have wah last and plug the guitar into it.
I have one song where I turn all four knobs over to 5 o'clock, wide open, and it gives a really awesome watery sound. Like an octave pedal it sounds like a dozen guitars playing at once through a rotary Leslie or something.
Bottom line: you can't go wrong with this pedal. Thanks Boss. Keep 'em coming.
Four knobs that can go from subtle vibe to lushy wetness. I am impressed.
It's a Boss. I know it will last forever, this is my third Boss pedal. The oldest is 17 a year old DS-1 and still going strong. These things are the best built pedals on the market.
It is a little steep, but still a lot cheaper than some of the other brands. But in the end I will only use Boss and will pay their price because I know it will be the only time I will have to buy one.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
.This is a great pedal, especially for musicians who like playing clean. The sweet soft sound of it can bring out the heart in any guitar player. I have had it for 2 years and use it every time I play. Even if you don't like playing clean, you can turn it into a flange by tweeking some of the dials. This is really a great pedal.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
.So many Chorus pedals on the market but this is my go to pedal.
Boss CH-1 SUPER Chorus Pedal
.Simply the best chorus pedal for the gigging guitarist.
