"The
full-bodied and powerful tone of this Guild dreadnought provides
guitarists with a classic acoustic sound and balanced voicing. Built
with solid African mahogany top, back and sides, the D-120CE also
features an elegant cutaway for access to higher frets, and a hidden
Fishman Sonitone pickup. Additional features include an Indian rosewood
fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, and period-correct
tortoiseshell pickguard. A mother-of-pearl rosette and Guild’s iconic
Chesterfield headstock emblem reminiscent of 1960s models complete the
package."
This
guitar is waiting for a home in consumer hands! It is lightly stamped
"used" on the back of the headstock. This designation means the guitar
has a minor cosmetic blemish. It is a completely playable instrument
with no sacrifice of tone, structure, or playability. This particular
guitar has a few light scratches in the clear coat on the side of the
body (treble side of the larger bout) and a tiny scuff over the binding
nearby. These are only visible when caught under the light at just the
right angle, but I have tried my best to capture them in a close-up
photo. There is a tiny scuff on the edge of the headstock closest to the
G tuner, a few light finish scratches on the face of the headstock in
the same area, and a soft dent on back of headstock. Lastly, there are
some pick scratches on the pickguard from being tested. I have included
close-up photos of all imperfections. Aside from what I have described,
the guitar is in flawless condition.
This
guitar has received a professional setup. It has an excellent neck and
plays very nicely across all frets. The all-solid mahogany body delivers
the warm tones the wood is renowned for without losing note-to-note
definition and a nice top-end sparkle. With Fishman electronics loaded
and ready to go, this guitar is stage-ready yet finds itself just as at
home around a campfire or living room. Give it a try!
The
Guild Deluxe hardshell case is included along with case keys and guitar
allen wrench. The case has a couple of very small scuffs on the edges.
