We use them as tops in a classic rock band and they sound pretty good but not great. If this isn't what you can afford, buy them. One warning - they have fuses and they do blow - easily. The good thing is they seem to protect the horn, the bad thing is the fuses can't be found and must be ordered from Peavey for $3.5 each - there are two in each cabinet. Automotive light bulbs from auto store can be used in a pinch but they are lower watt and blow faster. Kind of a pain.

.We are a 5 piece cover band and were looking to upgrade our entire sound system (from Phonic 740 with Phonic 15" mains) so we paired two of these with a Peavey powered mixer and couldn't be happier. We were lacking the power we needed for outdoor gigs and were even maxing out the sound with our existing setup indoors. We debated on a box with a single 15" for portability reasons, but we are glad we went with the bigger box with 2 15"s. Plenty of power and great, clear sound. Our regular crowd said it was the best we've ever sounded.

.You can't beat this price, this cab is HUGE, big sound, high quality plus it will fit any look and make you give off that professional musician feel. I've had it for a few months now and haven't had a single problem and I bought mine used if that says anything for its durability.
Definitely a high quality sound at such a loud volume, if you need a PA Cabinet for a show, or just a band practice I'd recommend buying this one.

.All you need to do to make these speakers worth there wait in gold is to replace the 2 way active crossover with a three way active crossover. Very simple easy install , you just need a soldering kit and you can pick up a crossover at sweetwater.com I'm audio engineer and what a bargain.

.Back to Basics, Let's face facts!
After playing in bands for almost 50 years and Boston area drum and bugle corps as a child. I have been a drummer almost since birth. That being said. As I start playing in bands many years ago a guitar player bought a Peavey amp for his guitar. Then I buy a Peavey Board and PA system. As time goes on I share the stage with many players and or acts you probably bought albums of.And Peavey amps were always reliable and always THERE ! Now in the last 10 years I am back to regular size venues. When for myself instead of hiring a major sound company, I bought every type of PA from JVC, to Yamaha to 4 Bose Poles with boxes. We hit the stage of a fair size show of about 2,5000 people and I gotta tell ya 4 Bose poles were the biggest mistake of my career.. When finally I said, screw it all, I sold them all at a loss and went back to Basics. Peavey,Peavey and Peavey.. So in short my entire house and floor monitors and board are all Peavey...Because no matter what they seem to go through they always get the job done, and if there ever is a problem, it's 9 times out of 10 very fixable or minimal. So now that I'm back to playing the clubs and smaller venues. I'm taking PEAVEY with me WHEREVER I GO...Tough ! Rugged and Reliable! So it's GO BACK TO START...GO PEAVEY...Or go HOME!! JoJo Johns~ Bandleader and drummer for Armed & Dangerous, Voyeur and The Nelson Beck Group, Hero's, and an opening act or filler for a cast of thousands....Peavey Gets the job DONE! BAR NONE! J2.....

.Very well built. Strong cabinets. No cabinet rattle even at high volume.
Peavey PV 215 Dual 15" 2-Way Speaker Cabinet
.my favorite feature about these speakers(pv 215)is that the high frequency driver is protected by the sound guard internal system(fuses),so you dont have to worry about your high frequency, and as far as the lows, pretty decent,no distorcion so thats good,so far i`ve been happy with mine, i`ve used them for two years and they still work and sound great, so, for the price i wouldn`t hesitate to buy them, the price is perfect.
