I bought this footswitch to switch between channels on my Line 6 Spyder II. It needs an Ethernet cable (provided) to switch between channels. It switches one channel at a time. Either left or right. Can't jump from 1 to 3 for example. It's ok, but because I have to cycle through each channel before I get to the one I want, it isn't the best solution.
Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch
.It works for switching through channels when you are just playing by yourself. When you are trying to play a lead riff and change from clean and distortion it becomes difficult especially if you go the wrong direction through your channels, I've done it many times... If you play live shows... upgrade to the footswitch that has the channels laid out and the wah/volume control. If you just play guitar for fun it is a very good buy.

.I got this a couple years ago for my Line 6 Spider 3 30 watt and it gets the job done. The only problem I have is there are 4 channels on a Line 6 Spider 3 amp, so why not have a footswitch with four buttons. Since I only use clean and insane, it's a pain to have to cycle around the two useless channels. I have to hit the right button to get to clean and the left to get to insane. Other than that, this pedal is built to last. It's made of some heavy duty metal with some nice padding on the bottom so it doesn't slip around. One other thing that kinda makes me mad about this switch, it will only work on Line 6 amps. Line 6 needs to make their future amps with a separate 1/4th inch port that can handle almost any footswitch.

.I basically just wanted to be able to switch between the 4 channel banks on my new Line6 Spyder IV 75w combo amp. And, this footswitch is the perfect companion. When I was at Guitar Center buying the amp, they tried to turn me towards a $300 Line6 pedal board and said that there is no "basic" footswitch. (?) Anyways. I'm happy to have found this on Line6's web site and then on Muscians Friend. It does exactly what I need to switch between clean and dirty channels that I saved.
Plugs right into the back of the Line6 Spyder IV via enclosed ethernet cable. Channel switching is a breeze now, and I can easily toggle left or right (dirty or clean) between the 4 channel banks I saved my tones in.
Good quality. Solid, sturdy feel. I just couldn't find the serial number and couldn't register the product because of this.
This price for a basic 2 channel footswitch is a great deal.

.I bought this footswitch for my Line 6 spider 3 15 watt amp. Even though in the product description it says this footswitch will work with the "Spider 3" series, it will NOT work with the 15. It seems of good quality, however, so I am sure it will work great if you amp supports it.
Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch
.I'm sure this works fine with the appropriate Line 6 amp but it doesn't with a Pod 2.0 although it advertises that it does. Sending it back.
Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch
.Basic switching for certain line 6 amps , solid construction, seems to operate as advertised.
Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch
.I play standing up, this switch makes is so that I do not have to walk over to the amp when switching channels on the amp.
Line 6 FBV2 Footswitch
.You can change channels but line sequential. You cannot go direct to channels or adjust volume.

.Wish it had not been an extra with my Line 6--
