This little guy has a great compressed feel to it, it is in my opinion the crazier one out of the three. Sound is bright but not overly bright, it definitely has some sizzle and a bit of attitude. I like this one so much I listed my Fulltone 70.
This one out of the three doesn't clean up as well but I like to back off on my fuzz to 75-80% so it still cleans up pretty nice for me, both knobs dimed out it will have no chance, this is the gainier of the bunch.
Practice was no problem, it cuts pretty good, haven't played a bar gig with it yet but I have no doubt all three of these fuzzes would shine.
I recommend this if you're looking for a good smooth sounding silicon fuzz face with a bit of crazy :)
Tech notes/ geek out section....
I must note that it was a little quieter on the volume side of things compared to the other two offerings. Did some resesrch and found out that the Red and Jimi use a .10uf output cap which gives it more volume and bass, the mini blue uses the correct .01uf cap which losses a little volume and low end, this is actually what was used in the originals from what I read.
However I had left over parts from a donor and soldered in the bassier cap, I just like it, personal preference.
I just wanted to get that out there because there is a definetie volume difference, so much I almost sent the pedal back, but now I know, the pedal was designed that way and sounds great either way, let your ears be the judge!

Being a Boutique Fuzz Junkie I was very skeptical about this mini fuzz face. I immediately compared it to my Analogman Sunface BC108. I was shocked to realize that I actually preferred the Dunlop. For years the Sunface was my go to pedal so I did not just pick the Dunlop on a whim. The Dunlop seems to have for of the actual fuzziness to the sound. This is a really great fuzz at at crazy good price. Do yourself a favor and sell all of your overpriced fuzz pedals and get this.

.Great fuzz, but only great at full guitar volume. If you plan to play with your guitar volume dialed back and your amp dialed up you won't get much fuzz. As soon as you roll off the guitar volume the Fuzz Face cleans up to almost transparent. They billed that as a "feature" I think getting rid of fuzz is what the pedal switch is for. With a Stratocaster at full volume (10) the fuzz is great, roll back to 9 or less and it's gone. There is still some tone effect with the guitar volume rolled back but it's not the tone you bought the pedal for. I'm keeping the pedal because when it works it is great. When you are going to use fuzz you will have to adjust the amp so you can run with full guitar volume. Or use some other device like a volume pedal, or a fuzz like Big M---

.I just received my silicon fuzz face. So far it has taken some time to get used to. The tone is really smoothe to extremely dirty fuzz. I play a American strat and mostly play classic rock and blues. There is significant volume drop when you run this pedal. You really have to play with your volume knob to get it right. But it sounds very powerful and loud when you run a ts9 in front. I would Recommend this pedal if you want a classic fuzz tone and don't want to spend that much money.

.When using this pedal I often look down at it stunned at the massive sound/tone that's roaring out of the amps. Small doesn't mean less. You can carry this thing to a gig in your shirt pocket, plug it in and knock the paint off the walls of the venue. What more could you want?

.There isn't much that can be wrong with a pedal of this type, you either like fuzz or you don't. The real value is in pricepoint and the power supply input. A LOT of the other versions of this pedal are battery only (which obviously can't be left plugged in to a pedal board). It's also very ergonomic and doesn't take up a lot of real estate. It's a great sounding fuzz and easily keeps up with anything else in the line.

.I've tried different fuzz pedals over the years, but this one is by far the best. It is user friendly as well as pedal board friendly. It is a great pedal for "Clasic Rock" tones. I highly recommend this pedal. You can't go wrong.

.I bought this because I am a bit of a fuzz junkie. I was shocked to get this home and see that it hangs right in there (and maybe even does better) that some very 'booteek' $$$ fuzzes that I have. Even straight into a clean Fender, it sounds good.
They did a good job with this. It is very cheap (especially considering the prices of some other fuzz boxes). You really can't go wrong. I immediately ordered the germanium model.
