Can't believe i'm writing a review about a pick. I found this pick in the pocket of a gig bag that i got with a guitar that was given to me when the previous owner passed away. Never has a pick changed my perspective about a pick. Yeah i've had ones i like over others but this one is different. It has the perfect thickness and grips just right to keep from sliding around.

.I have never been impressed with a guitar pick until I played these. They give such a quiet release and the .73 mm are exactly the right thickness to get a lightning-fast response without getting in your way. I was even more impressed by how snugly the pick stays on my thumb after a few minutes, as I am used to picks sliding around in my hand (not a good thing, just something I deal with). I wish there was a slightly smaller gauge, maybe a .70 or .68. Even though they're kind of expensive, though I would still consider buying more of these.

.I was looking for an upgrade over the plastic gel Jim Dunlop picks I was using. I never took picks that seriously until I saw a YouTube video and someone was playing a pricey Blue Chip pick on an acoustic. I was amazed but not willing to drop that amount of cash on 1 pick. However, I tried these and they are a happy compromise of quality and reasonable price. They are just killer. I a/b'd my old pick tone with these and it just glides over the strings. It's almost like a little compressor is on your right hand. My tone and playing sounds much more even across the strings and pronounced. Most noticeable if you play acoustic. I'd highly recommend these. I can't see myself using anything else right now.

.A friend gave me one to try. He raved about them, but I was skeptical...until I used it. It tracks my fastest picking, the grip is firm, but not due to stickiness...it's a new design altogether. I've loved and used the Ultrex synthetic tortoise shell picks for some time, and these use that material as well. The combo of response, feel, and grip makes it a no-brainer.
The downside? It's nearly 5 times as expensive as your plain Jane celluloid version. Will you toss your old pick collection and buy these to replace them? Nope. Will they make you play like (insert your latest hero here)? Yes, with years of practice... ;>)
Kidding aside, IMHO, on those dates when you pull out your top drawer gear, these picks should be in your pocket or on your mic stand. Your Custom Shop instrument costs more than your (insert lesser instrument here) for a reason...attention to detail, innovation, and proven high performance, as well as the confidence great gear instills in you. The same thinking applies here.
Try a few. C'mon, I dare you. You'll see what I mean. If you don't? Send them to me!

.The .73s size of these picks are my favorites right now, but 1.0's are smooth, unlike the textured surface of the .73s, so not as easy to hold on too. Too bad, was looking forward to the identical but thicker version of the 73. .

.Decided to switch up my picks of 20+ years. Tried about everything and ended up with these bad boys. They are extremely durable and do not get rough, scratchy edges. They play faster with less effort and sound wonderful. I like extra heavy picks and the thickness in tone they provide but other picks seem to lose some twang on the wound strings. The primtone 1.5 mm picks have it all depending on how you strike the strings. They seem to have absolutely no pick noise. It's just a pure string sound. I dig em!

.I previously purchased the .088 size and they had a pebble grip in the center.
This one is sculpted but without the pebble grip.
That's the only thing I wish they'd done.
Other than that these picks are awesome in use
really make my D28 pop..!!..

.Similar in texture, flexibility and bevel to Bluechip TD-40. Not the same, but surprisingly close, especially for the cost. The .96mm seems about right for general use, and both thicker and thinner are offered, as well as larger triangle shape. I've tried the textured version and didn't like it at all, but these picks are going to be my go-to from here on out. If you're picky about picks, you owe it to yourself to give these a try.

.I use these playing mandolin. I actually prefer the 1.3-mm picks for bluegrass, but the 1.5's are particularly nice when we're playing jazzy stuff like Django Reinhardt. They have a slightly less bright tone than the 1.3's, a very smooth feel across the strings, and they're thick enough not to have any give. Great for fast, smooth melodic lines. A little pricey compared to the regular Ultex picks I can get at local guitar shops, but I don't think I can ever go back.
