These sound amazing! They don't have that tinny sound you get with carvins. Nice tones, big-full sound.
Peavey PV 215 Speaker Pair
.easy to set-up, very clean long throw sound
Peavey PV 215 Speaker Pair
.bought a pair of these in 2004 for my high school band. 11 years later, they are pretty beat up and have played probably 50 or more shows......very loud rock/metal type shows. they always work. never once lost a driver. I used both a Behringer INuke 6000 and a Peavey CS4080hz to power them......and they are still alive. My only complaint, aside from the ugly carpet that they are covered in, is that they are kind of muffled sounding. If you spend time EQ'ing the speakers to the specific room that your playing in then they have the potential to sound pretty good!!! Buy them....that's my recommendation if your on a budget...excellent "bang for the buck"that will give you years of use with no problems!!!........they are heavy and awkward btw. I would give them 5 stars if they weren't covered in cheapy carpet. peel it off and spray em in bed liner.

.Purchased these as a set for personal PA for Band. 1 vocal,1 Bass Drum,1 Lead Guitar, 1 Rythm Guitar running through 800 watt mixer/amplifier. Used these for rehearsal in Basemnent to mix all sound,Pv 215's sounded like they did not have enough loudness in the Basement,I was wrong, these speakers need room to breathe in an open space to really know what they can do....... I decided to wait to purchase bigger "SP" Peaveys. We had a scheduled gig at a school auditorium, as I was not sure they would handle a full audience in an auditorium that sat 1,500 people.....I have to say WOW!! I was impressed and relieved... the 350 watt 2 way RMS was plenty!!.....The only dissapointment was the fact that the Bass Kick clipped with these speakers if you do not pay attention to levels, which they should due to the low wattage 350 RMS per speaker...the Bass drum did not have alot of low end but just enough to do the job. I highly recommend these speakers to someone who is knowledged in a proper PA set up with an EQ, you will not be dissapointed, man they were loud.....very surprised.....I just can't imagine what the PV "SP" series could do,probably make people leave covering there ears....lol.

.I'm glad I gave Peavey a second look! My 9 year old and I have started performing together. Where I was able to get by on an amp before, it was time for a PA. These are the speakers I went with. My last Peavey ANYTHING was my first practice amp in 1988. It sucked because, well, it was designed to sell at an low price point. For the money, there was no way it couldn't suck. It wasn't Peavey's fault; it was the result of being a broke high schooler who bought up on the guitar and down on the amp. These 215's are solid. They weigh 89 pounds each. They sound good out of the box and will probably sound better when they're broken in. I'm very happy with the purchase.

.I have a pair of the single 15 version of these that I use now for monitors. They are tough as nails and sound good but these 2X15s are an extreme upgrade for the price! They have internal crossovers that set the bottom 15 to bass and secondary 15 toward mids. The results are impressive. In a medium sized club my 3 piece band (bass, drums, guitar and 3 vocals) carried from to all ends with extreme clarity. I used a very small portion of a 2400 watt Amp giving me huge head room. This was paired with my usual18" bass cabinets but I feel they could fly solo.

.My wife got them for me at Christmas, I use them mostly for man cave stereo, home theater, etc. But i love to play drums to the stereo. Amazing sound and just all around amazing power. They are heavy but that just makes anyone that tries to steel them work harder.
