I like this pedal a lot, but I also like my TC Electronic Hall of Fame.
To those who said you can only use the included power supply to power this...
You should be able to use any other 9 volt power supply. From the EHX website: The Cathedral requires 9 - 9.6VDC at 200mA with a center negative plug. The Cathedral accepts Boss style AC Adapters.

Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.Love this pedal. I can now fill the room with a wall of sound!
Too many options! Fine tune your exact space.
A tiny bit trebley, but that's what I heard this pedal would do. The dampening knob helps keep it under control.
A bit of change required to buy, but worth every penny. Wouldn't live without it now.

.I was an eventide user and still us the H9 daily, but I wanted a simple non-digital-sounding reverb to pair with H9 effects like chorus, wah, flange, etc. This unit is perfect. Can generate warm classical or jazz complementary reverb from small room to huge cavern, as well as metallic, rock, acid sounds. Controls are large to the touch, easily understood, lots of creative selection. I perform at least 3 times a week, usually more, on Nylon String (finger style) and pick on steel string. I use this with a Ramirez a/e, a 12-string, a les paul and several other similar guitars. I play in medium size venues with unpredictable acoustics, and this unit can be tuned to deliver appropriate reverb to all the places I've played, including outdoors. I play solo with rare performances with cello, violin, flute, doublebass. I play Bach, Beatles, Broadway; Baroque, Classical, Contemporary; ambient, rock and ethnic. You get the picture! NYC studio for 24 years, now in NC. Wish it ran on batteries also, but that is not an issue for me.

.This is absolutly the best reverb pedal I have experienced so far, much better that T.C.'s Hall of Fame. The sound quality is excellent, and the Cathedral offers far more control. Having the various types of reverb is one thing, but being able to customize to your sound, to your other equipment, and to adjust to different venues is just one reason this pedal is worth every penny. Lest we forget the presets for each type, which only adds to the versatility and usefullness. Additionally when this pedal is off, it's quiet, true bypass. This is a powerful and versatile piece of equipment and can take some time to dial in, but well worth the time. My only complaint/sugestion to EH, is to add a footswitch to the pedal so I can change presets without taking my hands off the guitar. I use this pedal at church in live praise & worship, connected to PA's, in my home studio, for practice. This pedal is very responsive to various playing styles, clean or distortion, works great in either lead or rhythm, electric or acoustic. It literally sounds awsome everywhere, you just have to know how to control it, but at least with the Cathedral you have the options to do so.

.I purchased this pedal because I wanted a versatile reverb pedal that I could really tweak to create the most specific reverb for my sound. Even though it's a pricey pedal, it's actually still quite a bang for your buck. It includes the Holy Grail (which, if this pedal hadn't been created, I'd have gone with), and then adds an echo, delay, and several other reverb options, which really makes this quite a versatile pedal. I play two different styles of guitar. The first of which is a reverb-soaked 60s clean electric. The other is a more sloppy garage-rock style (which incorporates this pedal as well as a Big Muff Pi), and I must say, this pedal suits both of my completely different styles quite well. Anyway, the thing that really impresses me about this pedal is, I originally bought this pedal to just fill in what I was missing as far as reverb, but because this is such a powerful pedal with a wide range of sounds, it ended up taking my songs and opening them up to whole new areas which I would not have been able to envision without it, and that's saying a lot as far as a reverb pedal would go, considering that reverb is typically not one of the major sound changing pedals. Anyway, I'm rambling now, so I think I'll stop typing and go plug in my cathedral.

.This pedal is absolutely amazing did everything I wanted and more. I have only had this pedal for about a week and I all ready love it. It has so many effects for a reverb that the possibility of sounds are endless. I would recommend this pedal to anyone willing to spend over $200 if not the holy grail by EHX is an amazing reverb too.
Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.I wanted a simple unit that was easy to haul about and operate, yet had a wide range of good sound. Because I knew from past experiance with Electro-Harmonix`s products, I had no second thoughts about buying one. Once the sound I wanted for each guitar was dialed in and set, there was nothing else to do but let it do it`s job. I bought this for live work, but I have now also tried it out in studio, and it`s fine. Yep it`s not your high class rack mount reverb unit [I already had that], but then I didn`t expect it to be. But it sounds good and for my chores, it does real well. One plus that all the Electro-Harmonic products have, is it`s built road tough. Well worth the price when moving from place to place.

.Something about EHX that make their pedals, particularly delay and reverb, AMAZING. This pedal is absolutely unbelievable. The sounds that can be made from this pedal is insane!!! check out the EHX website for the blog about making sounds with their pedals and wow, that is all i can say...W-O-W!!!

.I normally don't enter reviews for equipment. This pedal has made the exception. I was looking for a reverb pedal to go along with my amp heads that did not incorporate it internally . I've used in the past an elaborate midi pedalboard controller that included a TC Electronic G-force for my reverbs. I am accustomed to high end equipment and did not think that the Cathedral would fit the bill. I've been using it in the serial loop of my Diezel Herbert and Carvin V3 head and the results have been astounding . I've been looking for more portability and have found it. Thanks Electro-Harmonix for another fine product.
Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb Guitar Effects Pedal
.I needed a reverb type pedal to use with my amp, although a great amp the reverb became to overwelming at times and i found it difficult to get a good sound out of it. Im not to crazy about the mode knob though, a video on EHX website says to use the side of your foot and that just doesnt seem safe to me (I'm a big guy and dont want to break the knob) but that would be my only complaint about this pedal. As much as I love the reverbs that the cathedral produces it doubles as an excellent delay (on the echo mode), i use it with quarter note or dotted eight delays to fill up soft parts in a song or to get a big tail on a swell. I also really like the tap tempo on this thing, it make it great for live settings.
The Cathedral is a monster! It can do pretty much anything you need it to do!
Its built like a tank and i havent had any problems with it yet! Only gets a nine because of the mode knob.
Its EHX! Definitely stands out among the rest, and the presets are rediculous. It does alot and is worth every penny.
