Put aside the dark, heavy-metal color scheme; and what you have is a REALLY versatile guitar that can cover a lot of ground. The pickups sound outstanding clean or distorted, but really shine with just a bit of crunch added to the amp. I play a Bugera 22 watt amp, with just a Fulltone OCD in front and can pull of pretty much any type of genre I want.
The guitar is significantly lighter than I expected. Feels less like a Les Paul ( though that's the obvious template) and more like the Gibson ES 339 I own. Not quite as light as the 339, but far thinner and lighter than any Les Paul I've held anyways.
Build quality is top notch and as far as similarities in price points to other guitars, feels quite a bit like a PRS SE that I used to own, which is a good thing! I sold that guitar with the mindset that it wasn't good enough being made in Korea- BIG MISTAKE. I've been searching for that value/function combo ever since I sold it. This guitar fills that void.
