I loved my EC 401 quilt top, I had to have this when I first saw it. Just as the 401, the EC 1001, is solid. The fit and finish is remarkable on the LTD models- almost better than both of my Gibson Les Pauls. The EMG picks simply rip on this axe. Frets were clean and setup was perfect out of the box. The Floyd Rose is great, although the arm likes to work itself loose while playing, and sometimes go flying off on its own- pretty typical of the arm design on Floyds though. No marks off for that though. Its simply a great value for the money, and a solid instrument.
