The ESP LTD James Hetfield Signature Iron Cross Electric Guitar is designed to the meet the performance demands of its namesake. It features a mahogany body with a maple top, distinctive graphics and set-neck construction. The mahogany neck has a thin U-shape profile and smooth ebony fretboard. Black hardware is used throughout, including the TonePros tune-o-matic bridge and LTD locking tuners. A JH signature set of EMG humbuckers provides all the killer tones that metal players seek.

I have been playing ESP/LTD since 2003. They are a great value and have always held up very well. The Iron Cross is fantastic. The new EMG Hetfield set is a great blend of classic and modern tones. Through my Mesa Recto or my Suhr Badger it gets great tones clean and dirty. The case it came with is good quality as well. Overall I would highly recommend this to anyone.

.I'm sure you heard of the ESP Eclipse II, if you haven't well just know that it has received critical acclaim and a perfect 5 star review average here on musicians friend (including its cheaper alternative EC-1000). My point is that this guitar is exactly like the Eclipse and then some! It is an Eclipse on roids! Neck is beautiful especially from the player's vantage point. Guitar is sexy and plays like a dream. Its light and clean, and the pickups make it one of the most versatile for shredding leads and rhythm in the bridge pick, to the clean warmess and rich tone from the neck. It has locking tuners that make string changing a POC (pieace of cake). One word: Sexy

.Mainly use it for practicing, and Rocksmith. Sounds great no matter what amp I connect it to. Tones ranges from super clean to hard and heavy. Plays anything Metallica related perfectly. Really easy to play compared to everything else I've played even more expensive brands and models.

First thing i noticed when I got this was how well it was made. Very well made guitar it looks as well as it plays. The HET SET pickups are awsome everything I expected and then some. If you are a heavy guitar player you will love this guitar. The action is smooth neck is nice and the tone from this guitar is nice and warm with a growl thats for sure. I have had many highend guitars and the LTD Iron Cross can hold its own thats for sure. I love how you can just roll the volume back a little and this thing gives a nice 80's style metal tone. I play many styles of metal from Metallica to George Lynch and many others, this guitar can can handle it. Great for rhythm and lead players. For the money you can't go wrong.
