You probably know what this is: Gibson's famous "Barely Finished Guitar" — the
2007 Les Paul BFG, in the beautiful Transparent Black finish.
Lots of unusual features:
"Gator" textured finish on a solid mahogany (and weight-relieved) body.
"Distressed" finish everywhere.
Wooden volume and tone control knobs
Kill switch where you'd expect to find the pickup selector
Distressed black hardware
No pickup rings around the bridge humbucker or neck P-90.
No fret markers, except for tiny dots along the side of the neck.
No truss rod cover (but a plain truss rod cover is included, if you want to add it).
Transparent covers over the control cavity and kill switch.
Excellent condition overall. There is a considerable bit of "worming" on the back of the guitar, but if there's any guitar where that doesn't seem to matter, it's this one. None of the scratches break the surface, though again it would be hard to tell. I also noticed a shallow ding on the side of one of the horns. Both of these areas are pictured. No other cosmetic issues: no cracks, breaks, chips, stains, scuffs, repairs, or modifications.
That last part is important. It blows my mind when people buy this model and then add all th parts that Gibson left off. This one hasn't been touched. And with the transparent black finish, it looks fantastic.
Comes with the
original Gibson hardshell case, with white plush lining, also in excellent condition.
