What is Noise Gate? - The Noise Gate basically tries to eliminate unwanted noise, hiss, or buzz in a guitar amp signal.  This will n fact give a more clear sound.  Although sometimes a noise gate can remove to much signal, so be careful not to use to much noise gate.
